To break the bread and fish. 5 seconds per portion? Times by 5000 = 7hours. Actual estimates 25000 to be fed when including women and children = 35 hours. Never mentions he paused time.

you are saying Jesus alone did the serving? What if he broke it initially- since the 12 disciples had 12 baskets (and they were all still full at the end)- 12 people handed out the food, or even beyond that- what if they just passed the baskets around instead of handing to each person- if the 12 disciples fed the 5000 men who then fed the women and children with them- it would be 417 men per disciple- 15 seconds per man would take only 1.74 hours to complete. Jesus doesn't have to pause time...and the fact that they wanted to FORCE him to be king, and they followed him the next day for more food would indicate that truly something miraculous DID indeed happen. @@markchristopher2509 I know, clever..or it could be like dippy says above. he told 12 blokes with 12 baskets to organise 25000 people into groups of 50 (=500 groups, big field!). passing round 1 basket for every 125 groups....
Or what if, and it's a big if, it's all just made up.
