    I see this as an entirely new class of scooter. The vehicle grade scooter, it's meant to serve as a second vehicle for people that don't want to buy a second car. Due to its IPX66 waterproof rating and waterproof drum brakes you're able to use this 365 days a year (in warm climates) unlike other scooters where you need to find alternate forms of transport on rainy days. I'm excited to see where they go from here. I hope this becomes the trend for scooters going forward, as I would love to replace my 2nd vehicle with a cheaper scooter for around town use.

      It so wasn't water damage. Then they basically said no warranty for Australia try calling another company 3 thousand kilometers away ....

    The fact that its IP66 waterproofing is crazy. I remember learning a lesson of having tiny wheels on a slick wet surface, and the scooter i use has 5 inches (i know its small im upgrading), even then i dont recommend using an e scooter in the rain.

    • @tmkj13
      @tmkj13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the bigger the tires, the easier it will be to ride on slippery surfaces. i try to avoid riding in the rain as much as possible but in the rare cases I have to, my 10 inch tires have stayed very grippy. what's even better is the apollo pro has 12 inch tires = more surface area. as long as you ride slow(er) and don't do any sudden turns, wet roads should be much less of an issue. however, I would avoid riding on anything that isn't dry when you only have 5 inch tires.

    seems very refined, its quality will be found out in the coming years BUT, but, this is not a hyperscooter. we really gotta stop with this "hyperscooter" thing.
    here is a fairly complete list of the only existing hyperscooters
    high end wepeds like the dark knight, fs, sonic x etc etc
    hunter quad 2x2
    numo scooters
    rion scooters
    i think thats it, maybe im missing a few but anyways. if the scoot cannot hit 120 kph or above, it cannot be considered a hyperscooter. this thing is nice but it barely cracks 70 kph so yea. its not even a superscooter like the king gt, nami viper, thunder 2&3 etc etc, its barely a performance scooter.
    please people, stop with the hyperscooter talk

Finally, all that at (I think) lower cost than the Apollo Pro.

    From a guy who rode on a Nami Burn E2 Max for 3 months, I can say that the long term mainteance of these e-scooters are more than it's worth. They're soo compact & corners are cut quite often. They drop all of the money on the frame & motors. Everything is else is cheap & will fail. Getting good hyrdraulic brakes on an e-scooter that are going to last is far from the case anytime soon. Stay away from these high-end e-scooters. Apollo isn't no different than everyone else. Many fake or paid-off reviews, & the rest head straight to the internet to complain & share their stories. Most people are just unaware of how expensive it is to replace the batteries. The Nami is packed with a 2.5 grand battery, half the cost of the e-scooter... Stay away & buy an e-bike, & if you're spending 5 grand an e-scooter, then buy a motorcycle~

    • @Electrek
      @Electrek  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @moralhazard2563 is correct. Side-by-side is the only “wrong” way to ride, as it creates two points of contact with the scooter instead of three, meaning physics is not on your side during braking and acceleration.

      @rhysmuscle2329 ปีที่แล้ว

      You honestly look like a fish out of water riding that scooter it's not hard to tell when someone isn't used to riding something like if you put me on a snow board I wouldnt have a clue you look like you have been riding scooters about 2 days and you're response seems to show. my comment got you a little but hurt. I have rode scooters for 4 years of daily powerful ones too. This was just an observation. You don't have to gang up, hahaha.

    • @rhysmuscle2329
      @rhysmuscle2329 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @sergiolandz6056 does that make it the correct way to ride it because you do it? That's like sitting on a side on a motorbike with both legs to one side but riding forward it sounds wrong that's why standing on a side whilst riding forward is strange and the reason it's strange is because there's handles to hold unlike a skateboard or surfboard which is normal to be on a side as you have to balance with nothing to hold on to therefore that stance is most stable but when handlebars are added that makes sideways unstable as the body is twisted the feet are sideways and the body is forward. But to each their own I suppose.
