Nice rundown, thx. Always confused as to why brands would not put all that useful information directly on their website and actually help with picking the right shoes from the source, though.
I have both Boostic and Instinct S and these look like they sit inbetween. I’ve always wanted a pair of vapors but I never liked the toe box. These look like a great addition to the family!
Interesting to not have had the nano closure on the instinct s since I imagine a lot more high performance climbing with those than the vapor series. Still, using my furia air for that purpose.
What is the last code on these? I usually wear between a 43 & 43.5. I wear a 43.5 in the Instinct S and also wear a 43.5 in shoes that have the FZ last.
I would recommend calling SCARPA support directly. They should be able to answer all the technical questions. When it comes to which one you should get, it depends on a lot of factors not the least of which is your specific foot shape, the type of climbing, etc, etc.
SCARPA typically recommends starting at your street shoe size, then moving down from there if necessary. But since the Vapor S is going to be one of SCARPA's lowest volume shoes, I'd definitely not try to downsize it too much. Like Rodrigo said, trying them on in-person is really the only way to know since this is going to be a shoe unlike any other in SCARPA's lineup.
@@WeighMyRack Thanks! I would prefer to try them in a shop, but most shops don’t have more than 10-20 different models. Surely no new shoe like this. I must order them online and will go with your recommendation.
Best try some out from a friend of the same brand. I just got a pair of these and even though i ordered 1.5 sizes above my street shoes, im still standing on my toenails! Have to return... who on earth gives these recomendations?
There are definitely going to be better shoes for tech vert or overhangs. Softer more downturned shoes for overhangs, and stiffer shoes with a more toe volume for tech vert.

Totally agree

I have a feeling the nano closure might make its way to other models.
How does this fit compared with a instinct vs?
Can we get a womens instinct vs with xs edge 2 rubber?
Just resole it with the edge rubber.

slippers for eeeverything!
Yeeeeesssss
Is it softer than Drago?
Can you compare these Vapor S to the Quantix SF? It seems both have single frame and that the VaporS is flatter. How do I decide which one to take?

Looks like a perfect all-around indoor shoe for getting a lot of milage on the wall.
for sure! We're very curious about how well they perform once they are available.
How to size them compared to street shoes?
go to your local shop and try it.
it is very easy to miss the soft spot one way or the other on a climbing shoe

Is this implying that they aren’t going to be gas shoes for overhang and tech vert?

No price :(
They actually haven't been officially released yet so no date or price currently. They are hoping for a Spring 2023 launch.
Is this shoe vegan friendly (leather free)?
