For anyone watching in the year 2020+ the director for Type-0 Hajime Tabata did say that he had hopes for a sequel to Final fantasy Type-0 after he finished work on Final fantasy XV (15) however, unfortunately Hajime left Square Enix in 2018 and the announcement stating that there were plans for a Type-0 sequel was in 2014 during interviews with Hajime Tabata himself so no one truly knows if there ever will be a sequel to this game. So basically similarly to the very long awaited final fantasy 7 remake, we can only wait and hope that it will eventually happen.
Nothing rivals Square Enix ability to create incredible looking scenes with the most badass designs. Im currently playing Type-0 HD, and Im freaking loving this game. Fans should appreciate this game more.

Five years ago I watched this video and I decided to study animation and 3D, now I'm almost graduated but I'm not at this level, I will practice even more.
Same but for me it was 2016 when i watched it, and since then i've always dreamed abou reaching this level. I am not there yet, but now i understand everything from this video and from what i see i wont be able to do something like this solo 😅 the quality is like a team of specialists, like if i can create environments like that ill probably lack the skill for the vfx etc. can't do it all not enough time to upskill in everything

I worked as a QA tester for a while, I want to make another step further in the industry 🙌 what I can say about 3D is that I enjoy adjusting lights and textures rather than modeling, dynamics or rigging. I can say rigging is the hardest part!

I really want a sequel. type 0 was one of the best Final Fantasy games I played story-wise. you're right, like they're reincarnated in another time or world. but I would mind it if it's another set of characters carrying on the wishes of their predecessors. it's got a bittersweet truth in it. I just hope this Ace samurai character is in it. Ace is my favorite, tough but sensitive, logical but brash, cute but sexy lol. keeps the group glued together, keeps his classmates from breaking. and he has a soft spot for chocobo, like me!
Such beauty! The scene itself is so beautiful, especially the harmony it gives off between the samurai and the fiery figure as the song plays (Is also one of my favorite songs in the game) as the fiery figure revives him. No words can tell you the beauty I saw in that scene!

I swear my jaw dropped a few times with some of the skeletal stuff they were doing with what I believe is either maya or 3ds max.
It's Maya, I checked up the "create skeleton" window and only Maya popped up. And 3dsMax "bone tool" window looks different. But both softwares can do similar rigs anyway

From one artist to someone who wants to be a an artist, start now. Don't wait. You need to have years of experience on your name before you actually start creating something that's somewhat good Practice every day Even if it turns out ugly, just keep practicing, look up tutorials, read books ask around. That's how you become someone who is able to make things like this

Hasty critics well, being well received and getting high sales are two different things. There have been games that were very well received but didn't sell well like Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil, Vanquish and more. It just depends on marketing I think.

+Good Hunter You have to remember they died yes but that was only in that spiral rise from ashes is nothing but another spiral that phoenix spirit you saw was nothing but a different version of the Crystal in that spiral and upon ace death he simply became a li ce for the spirit witch brought him back to life along with the armor I guess signifying he's a li'ce for that particular spirit/Crystal for that spiral.
WOW, for the love of the game,this is what work is supposed to be fun, an industry that is very productive to economics and society. I hope final fantasy franchise never end and Japanese culture will support it all through out, although it might be nice for a change if magic is not made to big of a factor, like Witcher or go a bit futuristic like mass effect or halo series to expand to eropean and atlantic audience and of course story counts. i wonder why people like to see games to dramatic like saving the universe a great story would be to to make it not so grand but interesting that would be a challenge maybe thats why cinderella or them zombies stuff part of its appeal. Type Next better be a straight up Nioh clone, right down to the 60fps lightning fast action. If SE can pull that off then we'll see something along the lines of Lord of Apocalypse but a thousand times better.

WOW, for the love of the game,this is what work is supposed to be fun, an industry that is very productive to economics and society. I hope final fantasy franchise never end and Japanese culture will support it all through out, although it might be nice for a change if magic is not made to big of a factor, like Witcher or go a bit futuristic like mass effect or halo series to expand to eropean and atlantic audience and of course story counts. i wonder why people like to see games to dramatic like saving the universe a great story would be to to make it not so grand but interesting that would be a challenge maybe thats why cinderella or them zombies stuff part of its appeal. Woow thier Aldnoah why you shoot the Bat that's wierd. All I'm saying is would it be nice to showcase Japanese skill and talent to more audience this is some serious stuff, and should be shared, for the love of the game.

Type Next better be a straight up Nioh clone, right down to the 60fps lightning fast action. If SE can pull that off then we'll see something along the lines of Lord of Apocalypse but a thousand times better.

They have dozens, even hundreds people working on these visuals, so you can definitely become a part of something like this.

UserDude I think I am more impressed by the people who developed the software that harbours the possibilities for these artists to release their full potential. It likely requires strong foundation in multi-variable calculus and linear algebra for certain.
