Another informative video, Doctor, thanks. Another way to protect your car from such dishonest car dealers without going through the all keys lost route is just to select the option of deleting keys that are not present with you, therefore denying any other key that someone may be holding up from starting the car. This is even especially important with Toyota in case the tool someone has isn't capable of programming Toyota "G" and "H" transponder chip keys on 2010 and up Toyota models.
Hello I have just bought the xtool x100 pad 3 Max, which is the most recent and updated one in their line of Device production. And am learning a lot from you keep the good work 👍🏻
Can not do AKL on 2012 camry, I only received 1 master key from used car dealership. But I was able to use delete all keys except for the one I have in the ignition at the time of deleting, then I order a key from keyless2go from Amazon and added it on and program the remote fob then had a locksmith cut the key.
Were could I buy replacement keys? I have a 2000 Toyota 4 Runner. I have one working key, I would like to buy and program a spare. I ordered a D8 a couple days ago to program it. Thanks and good video.
If you want to go OEM, enter your VIN into one of the dealer websites e.g toyotapartsdeal.com. With the correct part number, you may also find OEM on Amazon, Ebay etc. Aftermarkets abound. You can also get locally from a locksmith. Which was what I did in my case.
Will the D7S work on newer Honda/Acura vehicle for fob programming? I have the D7S but before i buy a replacement fob was wondering if it will program for a 2024 acjra rdx. Have contacted xtool but no response yet
I tried this this the d7 with my gx470. key works great now but the lock and unlock does not work. should this procedure not program the function of the fob button? thanks
You videos are always helpful but I wonder if scan tools with Bluetooth connection can also do these programming for Toyota seeing the ignition is not connected for 50 seconds plus
Thanks. They definitely would. The Autel MP808TS took longer to program but got it done. I've noticed that XTOOL's key programming seems quicker generally. Any progress on the 500?
@@DIYAutoworksNG Thanks for the answer and for checking. Not still starting and getting really frustrating. Killed 2 batteries already trying to crank. cleaned the intake port again but it is already late now to be cranking and will test again when day breaks. I dropped a message on the other comment
XTOOL omitted a pdf coverage summary for the Lexus on the D7. Judging from the listings for Toyota built in the US, the D7 should be able to an all keys lost. You do have to have a master key cut though. To be doubly sure, you can reach out to XTOOL support.
@@DIYAutoworksNG I've reached out to XTool and await their reply (for the D7 and D8). Will I need a chip programmer? Or is the chip already programmed into the key when I buy a master blank key for the vehicle (in my case, a 2000 RX300 in the USA). I assume the country is where driven, not where built.
why would an all keys lost scenario require an original Master key? this assumes all keys are not lost. can you just buy a third party aftermarket key and program it as the only key?
For this Toyota you must have 2 keys for an all keys lost procedure. An all keys lost procedure is more about deleting the record of every single key that ever existed from the immobilizer, typically needed after you loose a key. Edit: got this mixed up with the Autel procedure on the same car. See updated answer below!
So I got my answer mixed up with the Autel requirements! Actually, you don't need 2 keys for XTOOL D7. It's Autel that requires 2 keys for all keys lost. And just one aftermarket master key will suffice on this car. Note that it must be a master key. A valet key won't work. Also the reason you need a key is that you need something to turn the ignition with. It doesn't have to be programmed to the car already for XTOOL.
THIS IS NOT ALL KEYS LOST ,,, BECAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO REST THE IMMO WITH THE XTOOL D7 . I HAVE THE XTOOL D8 AND EVEN THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE FUNCTION TO REST THE TOYOTAS IMMO !!!
It will work on Honda with no master key present. For blade keys you do need a cut key that can turn the ignition though... Coverage of Lexus/Toyota depends on region of manufacture. For the US, you generally don't need anything else. But for Japan made, if I recall, AKL won't be possible without higher tools like IK618 etc. Even with it, you'll need additional accessories for some programming procedures.
@@DIYAutoworksNG Thanks for the quick response. I have a key blade that will turn the ignition however the key fob it's on was from a used car. To my understanding the immobilizer is in the key fob? So the next question would be can that used immobilizer chip be re- programmed to the car using the key blade that will turn the ignition? The vehicle is a Honda.
Depends on how you look at it. The real value of an all keys lost procedure is to delete all key from the immobilizer, save the one(s) being programmed.

Thanks for mate. Nice tool you have there! Congrats.
Wonderful, much-needed, it was a great video, straight to the point. Thanks
Thanks!
Great video as usual. I remember when I had same job to deliver. The all keys lost required that I had 2 keys before I perform the function.
Yea. Not sure why Toyota used that protocol. Thanks a million for the compliment!
Thanks, Sr you are very kind
What of program do you use, thans
Most welcome
I don't exactly understand the question

Will the buttons work for the lock and unlock button on the remote?
No. That's a different procedure. I also have a video on that. You don't need a scanner to program the fob for these early years.

will the d7 work for 2017-2020 dodge charger
Support is limited from what I've seen
Hola quiero comprar el d7 o el d7s cual me recomiendas gracias
D7S is more recent and is faster since it has better hardware. If budget is not an issue, I'd get the D7S.

I'm not sure to be honest. Best to hear what xtool comes back with
Nice video I got a question can this tool program smart keys to
Yes, but depends on the car. I have done Honda smart keys with just the D7.
I tried this this the d7 with my gx470. key works great now but the lock and unlock does not work. should this procedure not program the function of the fob button? thanks
Toyota operates differently. Fob is a separate procedure.
So do I need an original key that’s already programmed to the car? Or just a key that’s cut to it to turn the ignition on?
Just a cut key to turn the ignition on. Doesn't have to be programmed. It does have to be a master key though, not a valet key.
Ok so if I got buy a new key I just have to make sure it's a master key because I lost my original key that's the only key I had
How would you program the lock/unlock buttons?
A scan tool isn't needed for that. Just search TH-cam for how to program Toyota key fob.

Not sure, but you'd first have to be specific with the vehicle.

Totally get your point, but generally about its intended function i.e. erasesing all the other keys coded to the immobilizer when you loose keys.
