Twin Baby Elephants | First Record in Sri Lanka

Earlier this month (July 2020) a great discovery was made at Minneriya National Park in Sri Lanka - the first recorded birth of twin elephant babies. Even though their birth is truly a blessing, what are the chances of their survival in the future?

The human-elephant conflict in Sri Lanka is a complicated one. People, especially villagers, are ill-equipped to handle the problem, hence more awareness is necessary. From the villagers perspective, the elephants are a menace because they destroy their crops...
