Good contractor. Now the other contractors with normally open lines I think can be modified to look like this one with two normally closed and two Normally open by having an axillary switch with two NO and two NC

This is amazing! Why is this not more popular? all i see are the 2 contactor setups. Is this a rare type of contactor that has both NC and NO?

"the specification for changeover switch calls for a break before make contact arrangement . Typically relays and contactors is non-conforming unless they specify this.
The break before make is of utmost importance , otherwise you will have a moment when grid and inverter output meets each other, with devastating results to equipment. For this reason you must have certified device for this purpose."

@@V4per I've since come to learn that the single contactor transfer switch is not as reliable or as safe as the 2 contactor setup. I made an automatic transfer switch with 2 contactors. It works great!

Any generator that can be started by pressing a button, can be automated. generator from at least 10kva above use controllers to support manual or automatic start mode( you can easily connect auto changeover switch).
Their small generator that can start by a turn of the key, a modification must be made to be able to start remotely because they don't have a controller
