I don’t think Netflix would allow 10 year olds to be shown getting killed Squid Game style, so if Sae-byeok's little brother or Gi-hun's daughter were to participate, it would need like a 25 year time-skip (for them to get old enough to fall into crippling debt) making Gi-hun 62 years old in season 2. I can't think of a worse idea because that would mean replacing Lee Jung-Jae with an older actor, and we’ve already lost 95% of season 1’s main cast. Plus, Gi-hun left Sang-Woo’s mother with a large sum of money… probably enough to get his mother from the North. So I’d be surprised if he ever needed to go to the games As for the repercussions, I’m pretty sure the VIP wasn’t killed by Jun-Ho, and the front man saw Jun-Ho escaping in the same black suit as the servants were wearing so he knew who was behind it and by the end of episode 8, had dealt with it. In the first episode, the salesman who plays the game with them seemed so creepy and sinister already but in the final episode I felt like he was the main villain. He’s like the devil, luring people in and sending them to hell. The smile on his face… knowing that 99% of the people he interacts with will be dead in a few days. The way he signals “good luck” to Gi-hun in episode 1 and then waves “goodbye” in episode 9. Awesome character. I hope he gets a bigger role in season 2

As of right now the story does not implicate kids being allowed to participate in the games, unless the director decides to change the story to allow for that to happen, but from what I’ve heard in many of his interviews he doesn’t have intentions of doing that let alone taking into account any of the countless outrageous theories that are being thrown out there. At one point director Hwang was considering some of the things being thrown out there by the fans because some of them were actually pretty good and they could be used in his story for season 2, but then he started realizing that most of them were just becoming too outrageous in a negative way to even put into the show because people were losing sight of what the core of the story is all about and ultimately losing the message of what the show is trying to tell, and the same thing applies to all the core characters of the show.
