Hi Juan, would you mind telling me about your hurricane experience? My husband wants so badly to live in Florida but I am terrified of the hurricanes. I am afraid for my dog too who shakes in storms.
I was born here, 1958. When I was kid, my mom and dad would rent a cabin there right next to Indian Rocks Fishing Pier. It's gone now. This is a great beach to stay away from the crowd at Clearwater Beach. You may see me walking the beach in the mornings, sight casting for snook and fishing for Pompano this time of year. The next 3 months is a great time to sight cast for snook. Also, I take my boat out and get right off the beach about 150 yards and fish for Tarpon. The Tarpon are showing up right now. If you want to know a real beach bum, it would be me. I know all of these beaches and islands like the back of my hand. As a teenager, I learned how to play every Jimmy Buffett song on my guitar there ever was. I spent so much time on the beaches I swear I had barnacles growing on my toe nails. Just kiddin.....
I just stumbled upon IRB last week when staying with a friend in Seminole! I loved the vibe of this town!! Something about it! One question, being on that sliver of land…. What about hurricane possibilities!!
i love it here. we are 5 miles from anywhere. my favorite places are Channelside, Bayshore Boulevard and water street for great nightlife fun food entertainment. Amalie arena. is virtually 4 miles from here. Ybor city. i love it here in Tampa bay. Indian Rocks Beach is beautiful as well.
I love to live in Tampa Bay Florida when I first watched Dolphin Tale movies when I was little since then I always wanted to work with marine animals to become a marine biology some day to work at Clearwater Marine Aquarium in the world that be my favourite dream to live in the future for me. I love Clearwater Beach Florida in Tampa Bay Florida in the world!
Just found your channel... I've been looking around the Tampa area to relocate as soon as I sell my current home (in a different state). Looking to do so this summer/fall. What are your thoughts on Sarasota? I'd be looking for a townhouse. Thanks!
Been living in the same county since 1989! Lots of good, but be aware of issues. It is busy Spring and HOT in Summer. Winters are nice. And Hurricanes are real! Problems are crowding and lately insurance. Insurance rates in Florida are skyrocketing. Do not buy a property that is old and low unless you plan to tear it down. You will have trouble with insurance and risk flooding. Anything that meets current codes is likely ok.
@trulivingtampa you're brave, not me, I'm looking around land lakes lutz, , maybe Brooksville up north. East of 19,where evacuation is not mandatory, my kids live in land o lakes.
I see from the weather page that El Nino is expected to become La Nina, and combined with the warm waters in the Atlantic, the 2024 hurricane season could be one of the most active on record. Time will tell. I'm also willing to take that chance.
Tampa bay is full!Don't come here!IRB is not a sleepy beach town no more.Just another realtor video who wants to sell You some over priced real estate.

Yes, Kooky Coconut has a good cuban. When you said decent, I was like "WHAT?" and then you improved what you said and said it's good. 😂
Shhhh. Don’t tell everyone. 🤣

Aren't you afraid of a hurricane, that close to water, it's due to happen every 100 years, I hope not but you're taking big risk.
Hey Tony. Yes, we think about hurricanes, but It is a risk we are willing to take.

@@SecretRoomEvents yeah it's insane I pay 3000 a month one bedroom apartment in San diego
lol I lived in San Diego until 2019 a lot of drawbacks... taxes, house prices, freezing murky pacific water.
I lived in both places LA and IRB. No decision to be made here IRB wins hand down!
