Always weird to ave a front wheel drive car with a fore and aft mounted engine like they do in rear wheel drive cars? Was there ever any rear wheel drive cars with a laterally mounted engine?
Hi, hows it going, my gearbox went bang. Now when the car is in neutral and I leave the clutch out, it goes backwards as if it were in reverse. Any ideas??
Passat B5 1.9 TDI. I have a problem with it when starting off (releasing the clutch) when it is in first gear and in reverse, there is a shaking. The clutch is a little more assertive than usual.do you know maybe the hour is in question thanks in advance

You should remaind before You dismantling transmision mounting left or right to used support for transmission in the middle ;)

There was a 4 wheel drive version
Fiat 1/9, toyota mr2, if 4wd counts mitsubishi lancer
how you tight the two lower screw from the gearbox that connect with the engine? you dont have acces because of the frame
With spanner wrench and if you can't tighten very well don't worry there are couple of bolts that hold it in place

I used mappa but you can use whatever you find in your country it doesn't matter what clutch you use as long as it's new
