Thanks for these tips! I used to do this kind of stuff in the 1980’s when my kids were about 8-9 years. My kids say I was (still am!) OCD! But these are the years the girls talk about now it’s their turn! It was SO FUN!!!
Your ideas were awesome! Another idea for the added extra space for the fridge, is to get some packaging tape and some Avery label stickers. You are going to write the name of the food and the date on the label sticker, so you know what it is, and you can keep track for how long it’s been in the fridge. Next, you are going to take a strip of packaging tape and you are going to fold the top piece down a little bit to crate a tab. Now place the packing tape on the front of your dish and/or pan and now place the label sticker on top of the packing tape. Now, when you are ready to wash your dish, you grab the tab and pull the packing tape off that your label sticker is stuck to and you don’t have any sticker residue to try and scrape off. I do this to all my leftover food containers and it’s awesome 😊!
I prep ingredients at the beginning of the week. It works better for me than meal preparation, if that makes sense. Also, it means that even when I'm exhausted (severe health issues), it's less daunting to cook, because the hard parts are done already.
I'm good with just a red tablecloth and white plates. Decorations on the table are too cumbersome for me. But, I do have 2 Christmas trees...and a bunch of wreaths. Merry Christmas and God Bless
You are very imaginative! 0:03 Could u extend the time for us to see the name of products used and the finished items for a few more seconds? Thank you
I don't think I would like to set a table in advance so much, there is always dust in a house .... and I cut my veggies just before using them to keep the vitamins. But everything else is great in this video. Thanks for the ideas!
I like the folding the napkins into Christmas trees hack but I don't understand the end directions after watching it twice. I'm going to try to slow mo through it because past a certain point I can't follow it.
If I added one more Xmas plate into this house it would be the straw that broke the camels back! After 3 generations will never have to buy any more Xmas decorations for at least 100 years!
I liked expanding storage with metal mesh from DT. As for chopping ahead of time and storing in DT containers, that’s not genius … sorry. Very basic organization and planning imho. I’d have liked b/w napkin folding to be slowed down… the impt parts got sped up unfortunately. Txs anyway
I usually send those home with friends and family ,with leftovers. So I don't have to try and remember who took what and trying collecting them later .
Everyone with cats is laughing right now at the idea of setting the table in advance. Even good cats find that irresistible. 😊
Kids too!
Dogs too!
Why I do t have a cat😂

My Mom and I always cooked big holiday dinners the day before. That allowed us to spend the holiday with loved ones instead of in the kitchen.
That cooling racks was a great idea!!!
If you use freezer tape for labeling your containers, you can easily remove the labels before putting it in the dishwasher, so you can reuse it.
Sharpie washes off

Painter's Tape is your friend. Quick and easy to remove.
@ Oh thank you! I will definitely go pick some up next time at the store. Thank you so much for the idea 😊👍!
I use masking tape; it's easy to write w/ marker & comes off easily.

Great idea.
Put tape on the tubs and write on that, then it’s easily removed when the tub is empty.
Great ideas.
I must have missed it.....what is the GENIUS kitchen trick with containers???
It’s just about 50 seconds in.
Prepping ingredients ahead of time so that on cooking day you pull out pre-cut, pre-measured ingredients to add to your recipe.

If you use painters tape to write on the plastic containers, they are re-usable because the painters tape doesn’t stick.
As for labeling plastic containers, I've found magic marker can be easily be erased with a paper towel and rubbing alcohol.
Blessings always
Fabulous ideas! Thank you!
Amazing, putting food into food containers. Genius 😂.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Where did you find the lazy susan? My Dollar Tree doesn't carry it 😢.
It said in the title Dollar Store. I'm guessing it's a different place. Unless it's in the Dollar Tree 5.00 section.
If anyone else caught on will you plz share. Or if you know of any other video. Again plz share. I love this idea
I love the napkins idea but it was way to fast to catch on. You sped up on the important part. It’s cute though
Slow down the playback soeed
Great ideas! Thank you!

Before writing on containers that are reusable, put some transparent tape on the container to write on and when done, simply peel it off
Why did you speed it up when yiu were going the back of the black plaid christmas tree would like to know what you did?
Slow down the playback speed
👍 awesome 💯 ❤️
What was the purpose of the sticky notes on the Pyrex dishes?
To remind you of what goes where (it's annoying to find something in your ffug later that u meant to set out)
If I added one more Xmas plate into this house it would be the straw that broke the camels back!
After 3 generations will never have to buy any more Xmas decorations for at least 100 years!
Looks like more work
I going have to do its
But... of course you are making sure the items you put in the fridge have cooled significantly before you put them into the fridge, right?
Preplan to be alone🎉
you had to mark what the items were??.containers were SEE THRU LOL
👍👍👍👍👍
Good ideas

Nothing new, I've been doing all this for decades. Common sense.
The world has billions of people that don't have any common sense.....
Why write on a transparent container? It is obvious what is inside.
Because sometimes you get in a hurry when cooking. And… sometimes you have a helper.
The measured amounts are written down. You can portion out and have them all ready. Mise en place.
Don't buy plastics. Micro plastics are in our blood and in the air now. We have to protect our children, grandchildren and ourselves.
Lol 😊😊
You are using to much cheap plastic that will not last, therefore a waste of money.
Blah blah blah😊Hope your day gets better❤
I usually send those home with friends and family ,with leftovers. So I don't have to try and remember who took what and trying collecting them later .
And it’s her waste of money so nothing out of your pocket…it’s Christmas…try being nice
