Great content. My pool has the first return near the skimmer as well. Is this common? The outbound jet of the water seems to deflect debris trying to make it's way to the skimmer.
You really only do this type of mod if you have a larger AG pool. I find one jet can't push the water the right way all around. Most AG pools all you need is some sort of right angle jet. This should push the water round for most sized AG pools.
Thank you for the video. I saw you had LACO tape there. We used it exclusively for 20 years and then couldn't get it any more. Do you have a source for it?
I can't get it from my supplier anymore, but I did buy over 200 rolls before they stopped selling it. I have seen this same tape at Lowes I think. Or maybe Home Depot. Not sure.
To add, I think this may actually help the pump's longevity since there is less pressure holding the water back. Imagine trying to blow through a straw, then imagine trying to blow through two straws.
Would the PVC connections be stronger if you applied the purple primer before the glue?
I was thinking I should go look at my PVC primer and cement to be sure it is the primer that's purple and I wasn't remembering wrong.

@@dkroen17 the cut out for the skimmer and return are near each other because it would be easier to cut them like that at the factory.
@@VIPPoolsandSpas Thanks. So would moving or adding another one help then?

Did you notice a drop in pressure from each jet with the additonal outlet?
pressure the same at the filter. Water flow is split but the same pressure.

What size hole did you drill
Not sure. The size to use is in the video.
You think that pump will last with 2 jets
Yep. No pressure change and circulation is better.
