You could just leave the offset as one whole piece and not weed out the word. You just add the word on top of the offset, without the worry of getting it perfect into the weeded area.
I know I'm a little late but- Is it really not good to have a tumbler with 2 layers of vinyl instead of slicing it out to fit it perfectly in there? Maybe it's too thick?
