How to Fix Touch Screen Over Sensitive on All Samsung Galaxy Phones (Re-Calibrate / Update TSP)

- If you have a Samsung Galaxy phone and the touch screen is over sensitive (NOT UNDER SENSITIVE), way too sensitive, seems like it has a mind of its own, ghosting or just feels slippery I show you how to update or re-calibrate the touch screen panel so it can feel, swipe and work like a brand new phone again. Typically when you drop your phone hard, or root it or get a screen replacement you may experience an over sensitive screen/display.
Open your phone dialer and type *#2663# (then tap TSP FW Update). Wait till is says update complete: passed. Now hopefully your phone is like new again.
Note that if you have a Galaxy phone from Verizon they disabled this code but call them and ask if there is a code or how to update the TSP.
This should work on Samsung galaxy phones such as the Galaxy a50, a50s, a70, a70s, a80, a30s, a20, a20s, a30, a10, a10e, a10s, tab a, a40, a90, a80, a5, a9, a2, a60, a8, a20e, tab a 8.0, j1 ace, a6, a5, a7, a6+, tab a, tab active pro, a9 pro, s3, s4, s5, s6, s7, s8, s9, s10, S20, S10 Ultra, S20+, note 4, note 5, note 8, note 9, note 10, Note 10 plus, s8 plus, s9 plus, s10 plus, s10e, j7 prime, j7, j5, j2, j3, j7 pro, j1 ace, j6, j5 prime, j2 prime, j7 max, j7 duo, a90, etc, etc.

This actually worked . I recently had repaired my S21 ultra broken display and my touch inputs felt really wierd to use . Sometimes it would not register some touches and other times it registered multiple touches even thou I did not even touch anything .I tried resetting my phone , let it bathe in sunlight to remove any mositure if any had entered my display .But nothing worked . It was driving me insane and made me feel depressed . I thought the reapir guy had done a poor repair job now I have to send my phone back for repair again . But trying after trying your method my problem was fixed within 15 seconds . It feels like my phone is completely new again . May god bless you 🙏
This comment spooked me because I went through exactly same scenario. Broke my screen on S21 ultra. Despite getting an original new screen, was seeing this ghosting.

Equivalent for Pixel 3 on Telstra? All my friends and work colleagues think I just don't know how to spell. I have to go proof read everything I send. Even with spell check and clear cached spell check as well. I have to specifically type to one side and a bit above to get the right key.
I just had the screen on my S6 replaced. My problem now is that the two touch buttons either side of home button aren't sensitive enough. Very tempremental as to how hard to press them. Unfortunately this method doesn't fix my issue.
Man thank you so much! I got this new s21fe less than a week ago, and after accidentally dropping it, the touch screen has this annoying double input thing. Using your trick it's now fixed again!
OK I ran this sequence in Safe Mode and rebooted and the problem with oversensitivity appears to be fixed. No wait, its not... tap one key and 3-4 characters pop up, its maddening. Already did a factory reset. Wouldn't be surprised if AT&T didn't send a bullet into my phone to force me to trade in this Note 5, which I had never planned on doing.

Just tried this. That keypad code doesn't do anything on my S21 Ultra.
I have a Galaxy A10S and I did what this video said to do and after I pressed the last # sign it just stayed on my keypad it didn't go to the next step.

Way too many times when I would scroll down while reading emails in the Yahoo Mail app it would instead switch to different emails if I didn't make a perfectly straight vertical line downward.
I hold my phone at a slight left tilt with my right hand and I swipe at an opposite rightward tilt with my left hand. I do it this way because it feels natural to me because of the way my elbow joints pivot.
This update took care of the issue of having to have everything so exact before.

I was frustrated with my Samsung M31, it was over sensitive. The phone was getting hanged with tiny drop of liquid or with sweat on the screen. Tried many solution available on internet but didn't worked. Your video helped me, thanks a lot once again.
When it goes too fast and Peaple want it faster yea we run into this problem where humans cant handle how sensitive the phone is is proof that the CPU hardware could be put to better use than making the phone feedback fast but not too sensitive fast and put that energy on camera support because it's insanity how quick it work
After few months the same problem is started again and this trick is not working, any other solution on this.

It makes no sense to me why this works so well but it has completely resolved my phantom touch issues in 1 minute.

I need help with my s20 fe. its been an hour waiting for the "now updating" but still not completed. i know the phone itself is responsive because ive been receiving notifications and messages from facebook and messenger, but the touch is unresponsive. is this normal? correct me if im wrong but afaik it only takes a min or 2 for tsp fw to update.
You know I've watched videos like this before and they throw that information out there. You don't know what he's really doing. You don't know if you're opening your phone up to hackers. And I'm sure you can go to settings and do it there. So don't put this number in just because he says so. You don't know who you really is.
