That's the bare minimum because if people would like you when you pretend to be something you're not, who are you even fooling?? People out there or your own self!? I think the theory behind lesser views is that nowadays people prefer watching challenge videos, hauls and stuff like that.
Fewer people appreciate long form content, but never stop creating this wholesome content because we will always watch it.

What you said about short form content , I completely agree with because even I feel watching something very light sometimes and end up watching something funny and short but I will not go back to that channel to watch more.......I usually only end up watching something that is recommended on TH-cam but when it comes to watching something when I'm relaxed, I definitely only watch creators who I really like and I haven't gotten a chance to catch up to.
