Thanks for sharing your beautiful Hoyas. I bought what was sold as H. Pubicalyx Royal Hawaiian Purple in July 2021 as a very young 3 leaf plant, it vined and grew many leaves that were more silver and went pinkish in the sun, never had a purple leaf and then in May this year it flowered for the first time and it wasn’t an RHP, I posted a photo on a group on Facebook and a few said it may be a Pink Silver but I gather it can be only identified as a Pubicalyx. The plant and flower is gorgeous but I admit I was disappointed that it wasn’t what I paid a premium for.
I absolutely love cinnamomifolia! I’m in Melbourne, too, and I moved mine into lower light to make mine happy. It lives in a South-facing window along with my other large-leaf hoyas, and is absolutely thriving - it started flowering for me within the year (it’s about to flower again for the third time), and it has lots of huge leaves. I think it really likes a more consistent environment - not too much intense sun, not too much heat. Hoping you’re rewarded with a bloom soon! It’s one of the most spectacular Hoya flowers.
Wow you have beautiful plants. Some of them definitely look like they should be blooming. Might be the fertilizer?? You made me laugh when you said "as long as it said hoya in front of the name you bought it". I can Sooo relate to that! 😂 Lovely collection!
hello. i think you need to look for flat mites. if you dont know what they are please check some info on them. looks like your kerri green and outer variegated have them, also cinnamomifolia looks like having them.
So many hoyas that have similiar shaped leaves. And like you said the growers are making up names. I buy them for the flowers or interesting leaf shapes/colors. I am beginning to really like the silver ones. Some of my hoya seem to need sun not grow lights to bloom. You might try that if you are able to. I also give my plants away if I loose interest in them. I have mailed some to family members also, even paying for the shipping to get them to good homes. I have a linearis that is growing well in my window. I heard they are from the cloud forests so they don't like it to hot and they don't like to dry out. Mine bloomed last summer. What a delight. My Bella, however, has not bloomed yet even thought she is huge. Like you said, hoya seem to do as they please.
You had 40 Hoyas in first video and 29 hoyas in second video. I think I have 16 varieties now with two of each and I just made my first online order for 9 more. That online ordering may be a problem lol
I love, love, love my H. wayetii variegata! Mine is about the same size as yours, and I'm hoping that now that my region is entering spring, I get a bit more growth. I also have one that was sold to me as H. kentiana variegata but it looks identical to the wayetii...I'm going to have to wait years until they flower to see if they are the same or different. In the meantime, I will enjoy them for the beauty of their leaves, which is my favorite part anyways.
You found an Obovata Splash!!!!! I have been looking for the splashy version for a very long time. Your large specimen is speckled (same as mine) not splashy. Still gorgeous though 😊 Yes give camphorifolia away You will know if it’s Hawaiian purple when it flowers. Flowers supposed to be spectacular
Hi Leca Queen. Loving you Hoya collection, and already seen one I’m definitely going to buy. I’d like to know about your pot holders wrapped in black tape. Where do you buy those, and can you give me some information on them? Ty
Thank you for your kind words. My pot holders are simply pot liners that I cover with black tape to keep the light away so I do not get algae in my nutrient solution and on my leca.
I have fallen in love with Hoyas.....mine do very well, so far. But lately they are starting to get some fuzzy cotton type issue on them.....only on my Hoyas. What is it? and how can I can get rid of it?
They’ve done the same with pothos, in particular golden pothos, and Hawaiian pothos, Hawaiian version is just more mature and has more golden variegation, same plant
I have tried, Leca, MAB Grow, Fluval (kept getting root rot and now trying tree fern fibre mixed with worm castings, perlite, orchid bark and a small amount of soil@@TheLecaQueen
Hello from Puerto Rico!!! You have a beautiful collection!!! Just started my English speaking plant channel and would appreciate your support. Thank You! 🪴
It would have been nicer if you could have removed your pothos and philodendron from the back so I can see your Hoyas. I guess that was the reason for this video. You can show off those plants when it comes to their turn. Thank you.
Your Hoyas look & grow like they’re philodendrons! You have certainly earned the name “Hoya head.” Thanks for sharing your awesome collection Nora!
😂😂 I am a hoya head for sure!!! They are growing so big!! Future me has a big problem with space coming at me fast!!

Fuzzy cotton you said😳 you better google “fuzzy cotton-like stuff on Hoya”
Hey Dolly, is it possibly mealy bugs or some kind of mildew?
It’s thriving though!
They’ve done the same with pothos, in particular golden pothos, and Hawaiian pothos, Hawaiian version is just more mature and has more golden variegation, same plant
Hoya Linearis has been my mountain and have to admit that that is one plant that I won't be growing semi hydro 😥 Happy Easter
Happy Easter to you. Tell me more about your linearis please.
