- They act differently when Shane is away and definitely step up their guard dog responsibilities! They’ve not really seen a lorry pull up to our house before so went into full vocal mode! It’s nice having 3 giant fluffy intruder deterrents! It’s so funny to watch people reactions as they hide in their car when they see them! Phil loves a good angry bark at the gate!
Fluffy children protect their mum as daddy not there. Bless them.

Yes, that was so cute! And so was Phil sitting quietly at his side, staring at that green ball like he had thoughts of playing with it, but on second thought was like, "Nah, don't want to get the kid stirred up while he's sitting quietly." 😏😂

Very touching. Phil has a touch of the old nick. Is that even a saying. They did sound ferocious. Just don't let them see Teddy wearing his pink bow, chewing on his stuffed animal and waving his huge fluffy tail. Me? I'd have Phil set up the barking and Niko scare the hell out of them.

I know dogs have strong jaws and can rip things to shreds, but even though Teddy's had that stuffed animal for months, and seems to be chewing on it, it's still in decent shape. He must know how much power to use.
Talk to your neighbors about their heating suppliers, they may be able to help you find a way to get the info you want. I agree, sounds a bit dicey to me. Years ago when we heated with oil, the tank was in the basement. There was a gauge on top to tell us how much oil was inside. Also, there was a screw cap on top. We could drop a measuring stick in to show us the amount. The prepaying sounds downright dodgy. The pups were just doing their jobs, keeping you, Mia and the house safe. Puppy hugs !!!
I was going to say the same thing. Get a pole( stick) mark it so the numbers go up however big your tank is). Stick your tank before the guys show up. Then after they leave. You have to have a gauge on the tank itself , showing where the level in the tank is. It’s like when the fuel tank drivers comes to the gas station. He is supposed to “stick the tank” which means he puts the stick right into the tank, that holds the petrol . He’ll pull it out, wherever the line shows on the pole, will tell the driver exactly how many liters you need. Does that make sense?? You also could do an online search of different size oil tanks. Find your size tank, and see how many liters of oil it will hold. The prepay could be because (like someone else said) you’re a new customer. Hope that helps.
I love when the doggoes start barking. They’re letting the people know; Hey! This is my Yard! I do not know you! And if you think you’re going to hurt my mama, think again!!! My “pack” will tear you to shreds!!

Protection mode. Perfectly normal and am glad for it. I once lived next to a person who had a Newfoundland. Very friendly dog. However, I was getting my mail and the 6yo girl came to get their mail. The dog recognized me and let me pet her but kept herself between me and the girl for the whole time.
Milo was like each one for themselves when we are under attack, am just going to hide under this table!

(head scritches, belly rubs and treats all around) Interesting how Niko participated in the security exercise, but was behind the boys and quieter and less frequent. Also Teddy front and center and equally ferocious alongside Phil, but cuddling his puppy in self-comfort immediately after the threat vanished. But Alpha Phil sitting proudly, head high, totally relaxed, basking in his victory. And Milo, under the table the whole time, in silent support.
Milo, you're actually a secret weapon, dude. Some friends who foster cats got to watch their outside furbabies in action on security camera footage after their shed was burglarized. Those cats attacked the guy from all directions, including flying from the trees, and maintained a constant barrage of attack cats until the guy ran off to lick his wounds, which the police used in addition to the footage to identify him. Those oil company lorry men got off easy. ^5 Phil, Teddy, Niko, Milo!

Can see Teddy’s hackles were up a bit. My Akita has very strong protection. His hackles stand up and he scares people with his bark. However he’s all bark and no bite thankfully. Having big dogs in house makes you feel incredibly safe I wouldn’t be without one.

I love Niko's howls. In all the time I've watched you guys, she doesn't howl very often, but when she does, it's something special.
Most houses in N Ireland are filled by oil, two ways you can check your getting the correct amounts are, on each lorry is a gauge, you check on the gauge to see the correct amount is set before the pumping starts the other is knowing how much your tank holds, and either by dip sticking or electronic measure it can tell how much oil you have in your tank.
Oil tanks regularly have a small amount of water and sludge at the bottom of the tank. Do not let it go too low otherwise the pump will suck up crap and stop. 900 litres should have cost you around £900 as the oil price keeps going up despite the rest of the oil industry lowering prices

Any fool looking to cause trouble or break in would leave with far less flesh than what he entered with. Good Boys and good Girl. Give them an extra treat and belly rubs.

Dogs who are on alert can still be tail wagging floofs. If they were to charge in to protect family, the tail wagging could change in an instant. 🐶

They are all such good protectors and Teddy with his toy....I just love that. My golden used to do the same thing but the toy had to have a squeaker in it and when I lived in the country used to have to do the same thing when they filled the propane tank. It's definitely a worthwhile trade off
