So glad I came across your page! I have no experience and I’m in my 40s but after watching some of your videos and reading comments on Reddit, I’m confident I will do well! Thank you!!
Im in the MSCSIA capstone class right now. probably gonna wait until the UMPI CS bachelor's degree that's supposed to come in 2025. really at this point am trying to improve my PhD applications. but also i think this gives me time for the multiple-year-anticipated for ms cs degree 🙏
Hey Alex great video, thanks for the update. I have a quick question. For the certifications, how does that work exactly. Do you get the certification and that will automatically get you credit at WGU or do you still have to test out for it at WGU.
Hey great videos, I am currently on the path to obtain this CS from WGU. Quick question- I can just look on the WGU site under course catalog to get this info regarding what classes need to be completed for the degree right? Just to have the most current course catalog in case anything else updates over the next 12 months
has the WGU software engineering degree changed since you published your SWE on majormash? Currently working on my certs/Ace stuff right now, and would like to know if it's still up to date!
This is an absolutely impossible question to answer… everyone is different with their time efficiency. Maybe 8-9 hours if you’re not good at being time efficient and tend to go slow.
I am sorry for asking again.I am so confused in my life right now. I can't do anything in the name of mathematics apart from basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division but I can do accounting pretty well. I am so afraid of pursuing Bachelor in Computer Science and Engineering due to being extremely extremely poor in maths. I will have to work and study in a foreign country. Should I go with Computer Science and Engineering if I know no maths and I will have to balance between classes, studying and work for 4 years. The university I am going to offers only Computer Science and engineering in English and I can't go to other university due to family reason. Please help. Please please help me by replying.
@@alexsheppe Unfortunately it doesn't have any Software Engineering In English,it offers the course only in Korean. The only option I have is to go to SunMoon University.
Hi Alex! I wasn’t expecting a reply from you-thanks for the surprise! My past academic record isn’t great, but your videos gave me hope. I applied to WGU for Computer Science, and they didn’t reject me! Instead, they offered a pathways program where I can boost my GPA with a partner school course. They actually just called me today. My start date is December 2025, and I’m aiming to complete most of the recommended courses by then. Just need to keep under 75% from partner schools to avoid residency issues. Thanks again for the inspiration.
Do you think you could do a video of your actual journey of what classes you took at WGU and then TESU and Georgia Tech. Before you switch to WGU for masters

Still the same.
@@alexsheppe You're the best! 👍
Bro is my goat
They did it literally a few months after I graduated lol.
Hey, have you done any reviews on UMass Global Self Path?
@alexsheppe can I enroll as an international student for the WGU CS in AI & ML from Nigeria?
As someone who is in the current CS program at WGU, would you recommend switching over to the new curriculum?
Depends if you really wanna learn the A.I. stuff or not. The old curriculum seems slightly easier and more hackable.
Hey man, I currently work at Walmart and they pay for anything related to gen ed. Do you recommend doing the gen eds on Sophia since it’s free for me?
If Walmart will pay for it just so the school directly.
👍
12:17 Whole degree rundown
Also, Linux essentials is a easier test than Linux+ and will cover the Linux foundation class
If you get your BA in Software Engineering can you also do the masters or it has to be Computer Science?
Might need to take a Discrete Math class, but that’d probably be it.
If one wanted to do the degree in one term without certifications what would be your time estimate of hours needed per day?

What school would you be aiming for? Maybe a Software Engineering Bachelors would suit you better.

Does anyone know the WGU B.S. Computer Science accepts pathways program?
What school?

Is this process really legit?
Absolutely, did it myself, but for TESU. Spent time at WGU. Others have done this degree in one term.
@@alexsheppewhy did you do it at TESU opposed to WGU?
