    Beautiful job! May I ask what time of lamp do you use to cure your eBay gels? I have an led 44wt lamp and a uv lamp and they fails to cure the gel polish I purchased on Ali express. I know they are not related to the eBay lvmay brand but I've had bad luck with inexpensive pots of gel polish purchased online so I wanted your guidance :) thanks in advance!

      Do the gels state they are UV only or UV/LED?...UV only means just that, they will onIy cure in CCFL UV lamp....LED/UV means they will cure in either a CCFL UV or LED lamp....I don't have any gels from Ali Express so I can't speak to those but, in general, any gel product should cure in a CCFL UV lamp. If they do not, then the bulbs in the lamp might need to be replaced or if the bulbs are new then you may not be curing long enough. Most UV only gels require 2-3 minutes in a UV lamp. Most LED curable gels generally require 30-60 seconds in an LED lamp or 2-3 min in a UV lamp.

    That's a great way to do those. Thanks for this video Kim. I gotta try this. I think that brush you first used to add the color around the nail is a gel gradient brush. I have one but it's a bit bigger on the end. I love them. LOVE the shape of those nails girl. Awesome mani. tfs

    Great video as usual, so well done and informational, thank you Kim! Any reason why you chose to use gel paint as opposed to regular gel polish? Would the results be similar if I used polish? TIA :)

    • @tenlittlecanvases
      @tenlittlecanvases  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I prefer the paints for the thickness (viscosity) and pigmentation...you can certainly use gel polish but you may have to adjust how much clear you use as a thinner gel polish may spread too much.

    Looks gorgeous. can you suggest from where to buy golden studs and nail decoration you wearing on stone nails? I also face issue of color smearing with top coat on caviar beads. Can you suggest best way to apply Caviar beads without having discoloration?

    • @tenlittlecanvases
      @tenlittlecanvases  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a list of nail art resources on my blog, there are several links to various sellers of the brass studs as small as .8mm. Unfortunately the usual craft/nail art micro/caviar beads I have tried are NOT colorfast, they are glass with a color coat that just won't last with normal wear... you can encapsulate in a gel layer or if you want to keep the texture, do a light coat no-wipe topcoat using a fine detail brush to avoid flooding the area. The only caviar I have tried that are 100% colorfast is SUGAR/ICE by Social Claws...they are lab grown gemstones so the color is throughout...they are a mix of rounds and facets...Crystal Pixie is similar except they are just glass.
