For me this is the white stripes at their best, jack is very relaxed on stage and talks to the crowd and meg has the confidence to actually talk in the interview and her drumming is at its best.
Man, I love going back to these videos years later and looking at the performances. I actually like the smaller crowds better looking back. They are much more intimate and it's focused more on the music. I haven't been to a ton of concerts, but when I have it always feels more special when the crowd is smaller. It isn't about the numbers sometimes. Quality over quantity nearly always seems to win in almost anything I suppose.
It's weird seeing this knowing that the "new album" is also their last. Like, I was barely aware of them at this point, what with being 8. And I'm not getting all sappy, all things end. But it hit me weird that there was a time this was just the new album, not the final album
@Late to the Game No, from all accounts they're still friendly. She's introverted as hecc and at the end of the Icky Thump tour she knew she couldn't handle the attention of another tour. Which is a shame but it is what it is
Well, you should care, he's still doing awesome music stuff with his bands like The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather or him alone. It would be ridiculous as a fan of Jack White at the White Stripes time to ignore all that he did after and still doing.
There isn’t a single shred of pretense in Jack White. A true original!!!
Rob Arnold try the stooges and son house
I remember being like 16, turning the TV on at 2 or 3 in the morning and this was being repeated. Amazing.
the energy of this two together is incomparable

Sad part is...The White Stripes would effectively end six weeks after this.
Today is my bday, I just want to say I am SO glad I stumbled into this today, good nostalgia of some of my most cherished years...
I saw them for the last time, two weeks before they stopped, at the Garden in NYC, was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen in my life!
"Stop it, Meg, damn you. I'm going through a transformation." -Jack White, "Im Slowly Turning into You "
2:12 "Gonna try talking to myself using two phones right now"
I mean... two phones, in the front row, in front of Jack White. Dude...
One of my best bands amazing
Like an elegant locomotive, the White Stripes have clearly mastered their trade.
This was back when they played good music on radio 1 📻

at first i thought he was robert smith
I can see a likeness to Evan peters.
Why does Meg have triggers on her drums 😂 seems like overkill
13:14
last man wake up i was positively transported
Cosplay of Robert Smith?
Cool as hell. I miss meg. I think Jack was ridiculously better when he was with her. I really don't care for hardly anything he's done since.

What about The Raconteurs and his solo albums!! Works of genius
And Jack Gray

Cannot get thru on ph to TMR
Hmmmmm yeeehhhh I didn't watch the video yet...I just wanted to comment/ask...WHY THE FUCK Is Robert smith on the thumbnail of a White stripes video?
Jaja, esa guitarra roja estaba bien desafinada
Why did they record this in 4:3 and SD in 2007?
@Late to the Game 4:3 is the video aspect. Try Google next time kiddo.
@Late to the Game Yes, your ignorance is my failure, cool story.
AL CHILE SE ME PARA CUANDO VEO A MEG,,,,,,,SE ME PARA EL CORAZON ENFERMOS😎

i love how much meg is concentrating on the drums even tho she's played the same beat on all of their songs
Rot, weis, shwartz

No, it’s Stripes. White Stripes.
Short lived and best two piece band ever
Yes tripe is very delicious.
Imagine how many times jack smashed meg🤣

Some people have no taste in music.
Late to the Game the guy is here to say that Jack White of the White Stripes has no taste in music.
Who?
That guy needs a haircut. God bless the old crooners.

One of the most overrated bands of all time
You're thinking of Nirvana
I think you were watching something else
@Late to the Gameunderrated my friend :) And Jack is an underated guitarist
@@Needawholepailofwater nope you're as wrong as he is. Neither The White Stripes nor Nirvana are overrated.
