It's cool to see people are still speedrunning this mission. I'm curious if I can get sub 2 mins with the Blackbird. Door RNG is about to become the bane of my existence.
Thanks man, I guess you are right, this is basically speedrun... No doubt, it's possible, ofc it'll take practice, like a lot. 2x doors are easy, long tunnel on left also becomes easy once you get used to plane you use. 3x doors are the worst, they just kill your momentum, and last part is al about precision. Interesting thing is that doors arent pure RNG. They open in set patterns, but which combination of patterns you get is random. As far as my observation goes 2x and 3x door patterns don't seem to be connected... So yeah, all in all, good luck. :)
@@Kiri678 I just started emulating the Japanese version and tbh I think this is one of my favorite games of all time up there with MGS I’m so glad I didn’t spoil the story for myself. Ive only gotten 3/5 of the endings so far and each one has its own set of plot twists all of which fall into a mega twisting plot that still doesn’t make sense to me in the best way possible.
@@Lito_419 Sorry 4 late reply, am busy with irl stuff. I'm glad you are loving the game so far, it really is good, one of the best PS1 has to offer. 3/5 endings, not bad, i'd comment more but i don't wanna spoil anything 4 you. But yeah, AC3 is like Metal Gear Solid/Ghost in the Shell. It's dope. Good luck on your last 2 endings :)
When you find out measures of said tunnels then it gets insane. The whole level is 131 kilometer long and so is the tunnel, the 2x doors, each os around 400 by 200 meters and distance between each pair of doors is around 2 km... So yeah with current technology of ours it's impossible to construct such tunnel, just like pyramids.

@@Kiri678 Currently not impossible, there are just a bunch of REAL impossible things construction wise. The real reason is just that they are not economically feasible, believe me if those tunnels somehow gave countries oil, they would be constructed in less than a decade.

The fastest i was going in the tunnel was around 4200 km/h, that should be around mach 3.52 Yes, I know, underwhelming, hahah. But Remora can indeed do mach 4.2 on open map, and some other planes can do it also....
duckstation emulator allows for achievements from retroachievements site. "Geofront Racing League" is name of this achievement, mainly cuz it involves high speed and also cuz Remora looks like it's frome wipeout. :)

Remora just seens really agile with those quick manuvers through blockade and that pillars hallway
