My dad used to bring me and my mum to Desker Road just to eat the Naan there. It's cheap and good! Got mutton curry, beef, chicken, butter chicken, keema, dhal, all sedap! We always eat the plain naan for about $1 then the lauk all about $3-6. The garlic and cheese naan I have tried also but to me the taste not much difference from the plain naan so I always end up just eating the plain naan with keema, dhalcha and beef curry. After I got married I told my dad to bring my husband along and now my husband also say the best naan is really at Desker Road. The place very quiet not much people along the road side. So quite difficult to get parking. Not as accessible to take bus. Need to walk and find the place cos it's at a small corner. If travel by car is the easiest. Until today I'm not sure the shop name only my dad knows. 😅

My personal preference for naan and butter chicken is Kebabchi restaurant in suntec city and Bbq tonight. They are authentic and the price is not far of these mid level outlets

based on my observations, those indian stalls in neighbourhood area like the first one, they buy the ready made ones is it? cos everytime it's thin, dry. I don't trust those stalls. the second one and the third one they make their own dough that is why nicer. there are lots of north indian independent stalls (not the chain ones) are very good too. you all should try chicken tikka masala. I tried once at my north indian friend's birthday party...wah I tell you all... that is my go-to after that. CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA!! butter chicken is so overated suitable for ppl who dnt like spices... hahahaha

Was gonna says that’s not legit naan then realised its a neighbourhood gem special so ok lah, cannot compare to naans made in a real tandoor oven like in atas north indian restaurants. 😂
But the colour on the last one cannot lah. Way too red. Reminds me of the red in mamak mee goreng. 😂
