Вот это даааа. Я не думал, что увижу когда-нибудь такое. В моём городе, около 45-ти лет назад делали фигурки для детских игровых площадок и были симпатичные зверушки, сказочные персонажи. Но такого качества проработки не было в помине. Правда и дерево использовали не лучшее, просто покрывали ежегодно лаком, что бы меньше портилось. Когда проваливались отдельные места, то их могли замазать цементом. Сейчас сохранился лишь огромный бегемот из цкльного ствола дерева. Ноздри бегемота давно замазаны бетоном, но издалека это не сильно видно. Тем более что дети катаются от его ушей до низа морды по центру его головы. Уже около 35 лет. Стоит он в городском парке.
А вот это изделие можно и нужно нести в музей. ☺👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

oh basswood ! It 's a soft wood, does the softness of the wood limits the minimum radius on details ? I would think the harder the wood the longer work but the more possibility for fine details. Assuming the talent of the carver commands it.
