As a big fan of both manufacturers, but someone looking for a more "affordable" version - I'd love to see a comparison video between the Supremes & NXTs
Great video! Really enjoyed the comparison. I agree with others where it would be nice to see a NXT/Supreme comparison. Also would be interested in a Centurion/Tige comparison. The 3 main companies I have been looking at for our next purchase.
MC went to more reliable Parker actuator rather than Lenco when they switched to SurfStar vs Gen 2. Malibu and Tige also use Parker actuator but MC has patent pending on position sensor of the Parker actuator. As you know the BU is out or in and last I checked same with Tige.
Really liked this video and thought the comparison was fair and I actually share a lot of the same opinions on the boats. I do wish you would have talked about the steering on the two boats because I feel like those are very different experiences.
Thx Mitch, great channel! My question is how do I choose between wakeboard boats? Sure I can inspect them in a show room. I’ve watched all the TH-cam videos about the ones I’m interested in, but I want to feel the difference between brands before I lay out $100k for a nearly new boat. Much like a car test ride, I have found I liked things differently to reviewers. Any suggestions ?
Obviously you can only learn so much from showrooms, videos, and salesmen. We would highly recommend that you go out on a demo or test ride and actually experience the boat. Wakesurf and wakeboard behind the boat to see how it feels and what you prefer!
@@BoardCo Thx Mitch, That is my point. I haven’t found a dealer here in the Mid West area (Wisconsin) that will do that- unless you know of one. They want to sign up a deal on a specific boat, which I understand and am serious about buying, but I’m not ready to commit until I have tried several. I am happy to even pay for the privilege to experience a couple of different brands and make an informed choice- specifically looking for a wakeboard boat that will be mellow enough to help us to progress to intermediate- don’t need huge ramps( kind of like the Malibu / Centurion review you did). Not interested in surfing. I’m coming off a 19’ bowrider and looking for the next step up for myself and my son. I’m leaning towards a 2-3 year old NXT20, but also intrigued by an almost new ATX 20 or Axis 20, since I can see those available with low hours and one year old. So many of the reviews focus on surfing- it’s tough to figure out which will have a mellow / controllable wake for learning to jump Do you have any further advice on a) How to secure some demo drives b) which boat might suit us best?
Mitch - You are extremely “diplomatic” and mention things that are not stock that enhance wake sports experience of a flatter hull. - like thousands of pounds of ballast. You should discuss CATS, a Centurion factory option, that basically eliminates all the issues of a weight sensitive deep V hull when trying to dial in a wakeboarding wake. A CATS equipped Centurion is about as good as it gets for wakeboarding!
Really good comparison and informative. We are in a 20 G23, but I keep looking at the new RI230...from what I have seen, the length of the wave in the Ri is substantial...and it seems Centurion has stepped up the quality and fit and finish over years past. Are you going to do a Nautique/Centurion comparison video??
I am wanting a RI Centurian but everyone keeps saying they are not good wake board boats and only surf boats. We do 90% wake boarding but at a very mid level and definitely not pro
In terms of the wakeboarding wave it is a small difference that very experienced riders will notice. Whereas the surf wave is a sizable difference that even beginner surfers will notice.
The major difference you are going to notice is mainly at a pro level for the wakeboarding wave. If you are an average wakeboarder it may not make a difference. In terms of the surf wave, even beginner surfers will remark a difference.
will you be doing a comparison with supra? They in my opinion provide the best boat on the market the sa and sl, but I haven't seen many people compare the two lines

Yes, this!!!
@@BoardCo nxt vs supreme still in the works?

As much as I don't mind listen I wish you would of included images of each part when breaking it down for visual people.
Noted.

Agreed. Coming from outboards and sterndrives my whole life, the dockstar system is super intriguing to me.
Would love to see a comparison video on surf wave between RI245 and Malibus M240. These are the 2 boats im deciding between for next season
Stay tuned :)
I highly recommend going with the RI, you wont be disappointed.

Hi Mitch any advice for me?
@BoardCo
In your opinion what is the best surfing only boat for $160k? Currently have the axis a225. Looking to upgrade.
MBB52 if it’s all about the wave.
Thanks for the video, not a lot of good information on surf boats
Glad you enjoyed! Do you wake surf a lot?
Would love to hear your opinion on Tige surf system.
