    U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Edward D. Banta, Deputy Commandant of Installations and Logistics, observes how barrack rooms are inspected on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 13, 2024.
    Marine Corps Installations Command conducted an immediate inspection of all barracks to ensure compliance with housing standards, assigning designated personnel for completion by March 15, 2024.
    Installation commanders will use MARADMIN 289/23 Unaccompanied Housing Guarantees and Responsibilities and DoD Manual 4165.63-M DoD Housing Management Manual, to ensure proper living arrangements for service members.

    Don’t miss those crappy barracks at Schwab. Had some great times in them though during typhoon season. The beer in the soda machine was a life savor.
    What gets me is that the Marine Corps is just figuring this out. The barracks at every duty station I was at were terrible.

    Wow, 1 good room in1 barracks. Silly but ut fills the evals of someones fittep.

    Now show him the UDP barracks on Futenma or Hansen. Mold, roach infested condemned barracks where they cram 3 Cpls to a room with a communal head where half the showers and sh*tters don’t work or don’t have hot water. Even after you tell your command that it’s against the barracks order to have 3 to a room during UDP without the MCI COM CG waiver, it’s ignored because of the lack of infrastructure 💀
