I bet cutting those made that tractor die at times, lm looking for a different topper, l have a few fields that are a bit rushy, was looking at a 2005 shearhead or a brand new one but it's only 7ft wide and looks a bit lightweight but the other is probably going to blow up after the first pass up the field ,also like the McConnell 9, it's well built, had one year's ago but the gearbox went on it, but it could cut big rushes.

The major cyclone is a good machine but it leaves a very course residue after. Not crazy hp to drive and not much to go wrong with it. This flail mower does a great job on just about everything except abondoned esb poles and 2" water pipe.

This going to take forever and use a tank of fuel, should spray them with strong mix, leave for a couple of months then cut, much fast job and far less rushes next year, cutting doesn't get rid of them, but that machine is doing a great job.

Doing what is requested by customer but also a very heavy cover of rush here. We got a great kill by spraying when the regrowth was 6 inches high and field is clean now.

@@michaelmcnamara7971 Yeah no point in spraying seeded brown rushes.
I topped mine a few days ago, I'll let them rot into the ground during the winter and roast the green ones that grow back in the spring.

This machine is doing a great job, seems to be very finely chopped.

Thank You Paddy. Yes it does a very effective job on clearing heavy rushes. Also very good at clearing light scrub such as Furse and briars.

+Michael McNamara 🚜👍 great to see a man using what every Tractor and machine needs no matter how big ? A bit of time to do its job. I see 🚜 tractors going around fields at 100 mph.💥😤 leaving a very bad finish behind. Not the case here, Best of Luck Michael 🚜👍👋
