I like how Rassilon talked shit but- HE ALMOST LOST! The time lords were about to be wiped out, the Daleks almost had their final victory.

Yeah the fact that he had to trick the Master in oder to escape the Daleks shows that the Time Lords are just a Bunch of Bastards When Push comes to Shove

Pretty cool! However, seems a bit odd that the Dalek Emperor would call himself a god when it was supposed to be a surprise and a sign of his madness in Parting of Ways. Then again, that's Big Finish for you.

Eh, you can just explain it away as the Time War started driving the Emperor mad, and the Doctor never really met him much during the War to see how bad his madness got. The Emperor's role in Eighth Doctor Time War 4 could kinda explain his delusions of godhood, then just got worse for Parting of the Ways. I like that BF kept this aspect of the Emperor's character, makes him more interesting than just Big Dalek with Deep Voice.

I always thought the shock wasn't that the Emperor had a god complex, but rather the Daleks met by the Ninth Doctor (created from mutated humans) were so insane that they actually believe in it as much as he does.

I like to think his god complex came from his resurrection. Hence why he calls himself “immortal” in Parting of The Ways.
I know that was probably written just because he survived the Time War is PotW… but retroactively, it makes a lot of sense that this Emperor is the ORIGINAL Emperor reborn. Hence his immortality delusion.
