  • Follow the steps in this video to check the rotary hook timing and gap on your HappyJapan HCD3e-1501 embroidery machine. You should check if hook timing is off if either (1) the machine is failing to make stitches or is looping excessively and/or (2) the machine is stopping frequently with thread breaks or (3) the machine immediately snaps the needle only after a few turns when pressing START, even on a simple flat garment and hoop - if it is doing this on every needle bar you test on the machine, follow the procedure in this video to check the machine's rotary hook timing and gap.

Hello friend, my happy machine does not move the pantograph up and down and it remains embroidering at the same point, there is a cable that goes from the motor to the card and that cable was a little burned. Before I changed it and it worked, now I changed it but it's still causing the error. Can you give me some idea? thank you

    Great tutorial. Thanks
Question. Is it necessary to check the gap on every needle?

Is it same for 7 needle happys.. would it need to check timing if it’s not cutting thread ..

Yes, the procedure is the same for the 7 needle (25 degrees is the timing point for just about all Happy machines); even the steps on the control panel part. We will provide a separate video for that model, but for now you can use this video to check timing. A video on how to adjust timing will be uploaded today for your further reference.

If it is not cutting thread, troubleshoot the knife (i.e. clean the knife, do a CUT /swing test in maintenance mode. But cutting shouldnt have anything to do with the hook timing unless the machine isn't making any stitches either.
