I am GREATLY ENCOURAGED because of assurance that my salvation depends on God not my performance. Thank you for this trustworthy word from scripture!!!

Such a magnificent doctrine. Praise the Lord for HIS work of sustaining and keeping the believer. This is not a work of man, but a work of God alone.

Knock and the door WILL be opened, seek and you WILL find, ask and it WILL be given to you.
Genuine humility, which is also a gift of God is not only key, but a very good indicator of the amazing work of the Holy Spirit in your heart.

I read so many posts and see so many TH-cam videos that say perseverance of the saints is about hard work!! They don't even take the time to understand the doctrine in the first place!

    Thank you for sharing
Many who teach otherwise platform their own doctrines in place of scripture. Many we could call disgruntled employees so to speak...persons who were “once saved always saved” but now teach and hold their salvation is not secure and neither are those whom they disciple and evangelize. They don’t like it AT ALL when you explain this to them. That they “hashtag” the Gospel with “but beware lest you lose your eternal life”...
They also claim that someone who was once saved and loses their salvation was “known by Christ” and then lost their salvation. Yet in Matt 7 Christ says otherwise “I never knew you”. So they not only teach a false doctrine, they themselves insert their own false teachings upon many other doctrines as well.
    Again, thank you for sharing.

Perhaps Satan's greatest achievement is convincing mankind that they are better than they are and that God is not as holy and awesome as He is.

In its context, Romans 11:29 is actually about Israel. 11:28 shows this

IDK. There are so many verses that come with an "if" - if you endure to the end, or if you overcome, etc. Then there is this:
    Hebrews 6:4-6 KJV
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
[5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
[6] If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
