Canada needs to tone down immigration and international students. It’s a move that has immediate results as building homes takes a lot of time.

"Tone down"? We have some of the tightest requirements for immigrants and students to maintain their eligibility to remain in Canada. People on student visas are required to be in university or college. Immigrants with workers' permits are not just required to work, but there is a requirement that they obtain a certain type of position in the work place otherwise they in fact do get deported and can't reenter for at least 2 years. I know people this has happened to.

Immigration in general has had a negative effect on homeowners in certain cities. In fact because houses have been selling for so much in my city in particular I now have to pay an extra $1,500 a year in land taxes and I'm not impressed about it.
People moving from bigger cities as well affected it.

He says when he was immigration minister he heard from provinces, cities, towns and employers that more people were needed so he increased immigration. Now he is hearing from citizens that they need housing so he is busy building housing. I think he and or this government only listens to people and institutions but does not do research. Does Canada really need to build that many houses, my answer is no. There are enough houses in Canada but they are all owned by institutional and HELOC investors. There is zero upward mobility for those who work hard. This government seems to be paying some attention to house construction after their many years in power. But what is the benefit if all the homes are sold to investors. Stop practicing predatory landings. Don't just use your ears, use your brain 🧠 too.

Do you understand how many people throughout the country are sitting with extra debt on their mortgage because of that guy? His policies allowed for the run up of house prices and until it finally bit him in the butt, he has been patting himself on the back for doing a great job until now.
