Love his confidence, he doesn't ever let any chat member get under his skin or undermine what he's doing, always keeping it real but totally polite. What a sport
I’m pretty sure he was half kidding. There is DEFINITELY a point where the sub is way too much and drowns out the entire mix and makes it muddy af in the low mids 😅 But technically he’s not wrong either, bass and drums are the most essential part of dance music so as long as it hits and is powerful you have a song lol
Wow... to flip back and forth between Ableton and logic and do editing without slowing down the workflow, and snap in plugins and mixing that fast... this man is brilliant
Got a few messages about best "Black Friday" plugin deals. If I make a video/article, what is the #1 thing you want to know? For example: best deals, my top picks, artist's fav plugins, how to choose what to buy, plugins ranked by category...
Would love to see top plugins by category (saturation, eq/auto-eq, dynamics) with some video quotes from the artists about why they like it and what they do with them
That video would be soooo helpful!! Maybe you can do a ranking with the best 2-3 plugins by category, 3 best eq, compressor, saturation, multiband compresor, transient designer..) whatever you do Im it would be worth it!
@@SolStateMusic Im not sure if its known but i personally learned it myself from the last few years sampling off youtube. If you have instagram i could send you a video of me doing it. Or else my sample sources are uploading off pitch but its that whole A432hz tuning stuff. Tuning away from the standard A440hz
Sol i love your videos! i've been producing rap beats for a long time and recently started getting into house music production and finally learned about mixing for the first time in 6 years of music production, i cant believe i didnt learn about it before. but these videos are helping me learn about mixing a lot! thank u
This felt like watching a Bob Ross painting show 😂 at first you ask yourself if he know what he is doing and you come back 30 seconds later and he created a whole universe. 🤣 amazing video 🔥🔥
Love this channel, thank you for breaking down these streams for us. Btw great deal on the Oxford Inflator right now, just made a video on Black Friday Deals.
Hey! This is great! I've noticed in the min 5:05 the notes you are playing shape themselves into quavers/crotchets as if you had preset that. How did u do that?
I cut a lot of filtering out of the edit. The goal is to use the filter add movement and variation. I believe he layer the Moog filter on top of the sample creating a pulsing-filter effect. Guy then automated the filter intensity in the breakdown.
Wow thanks man! You are the man and a wonderful person for sharing your skills and providing us with the latest missing parts and self esteem in the pro production mystery yourney. Absolutely priceless! :-)
@@SolStateMusic haha, I will do m8 😅😀.. I recently followed your ig so I'll tag ya there if I'm brave enough to publicly post anything I produce/ remix/ bootleg!!
assume you meant daw, but alot of daws have a feature called “rewire” and he does it because he likes the time warp in ableton lol, why he doesn’t bounce it and resample into logic idk he just wants to do it like that ig, saves time
I think its one of the default battery kits with 707,808, 909 style sounds. BUT, Guy imports third party samples into battery often (like the Dilla Snares, which should be on Splice)
May just be a question of taste - and I'm no pro - but the bottom end of this remix sounds like mush to me. I mean, no separation of sounds and way too much rumble. Or is that the style of this track?
When the video started I was shocked to hear this song The Line! I covered it (produced, sung and guitar too) with a friend of mine called Yahzarah from Usa.. I can send it if anyone wants to hear it 😋

If you're looking to meet other producers influenced by Disclosure, theirs about 10,000 of them on Disclosure's Discord.
will this tune ever be released its banging????
Please release this!

the best
100% correct about him being a pro because of how quickly he moves. I feel like each of these steps would’ve been a whole session for me lol
Love how you don’t waste a second in your videos, condensed to the essentials, which makes me watch the entire video without noticing it’s 17min long
Thanks for noticing - I really do try NOT to waste your time.
Harry Kane making bangers
😂😂😂😂😂😂 underrated
xD
it’s coming home
😂😂👌
😂😂😂
This is great. What a thoroughly likeable guy he is. Thanks for taking the time to cut this down and share it
Thanks for watching! So true - he's at the top of his game AND still the guy you'd want to grab a beer with.
Chat: there's too much bass
Guy: the limit does not exist
That's why we love him!
Absolutely, I was wondering, why isn't he high passing the vocals.
Key thing I took from this is, "there is never too much bass in a song" Thank you :)
Haha 🎸

I really like how he takes it one step at a time but always delivers
9:14 pro tip- youtube rips are usually pitched +32 or -32 cents. Thats why he couldnt find the key
Really? That's important to know. Do you have a source for that info?

@@KudosCultureCartel that'd be great man! I love the 432 thing, but everything has to start at 440 for that to work. instagram.com/solstatemusic
Nah that cant be true. Right?
na thats cap
DAMN GOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!! I have listened disclosure since 13 years old and they still make amazing songs!! Love you from south korea🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! Disclosure are on fire!
one of my favourite channels at the moment! keep up the great work
Thanks, will do
wow that fab filter instantly made the mix clearer and louder. Gotta get me 1 of those.
9:12 - It's in the key of Prince.

So great to hear it's helping ya! Thanks for the kind words, best of luck in house land!
Absolute Banger. What a talent mate. 4 years late to this party lol🔥🔥🔥🔥
The swing on that garage snare 🥂
I can’t stress the value of these edits enough! Thanks very much!
The way he brings the beat in at 17:09 is soooooo goooooood
You can tell he’s put the hours in too be as good as this. Can get some really ideas from him aswell. Thanks
Guy from Disclosure has commented on how he loves what he does, which I think is a big part of his success cause it makes "practice" easy
You can tell he loves it, it’s well deserved aswell. That’s not the average production I had the hole thing blasting at work it sounded quality.
He makes it look so easy
As I said on stream... absolute banger from another dimension haha. Cheers Gin.
Hahaha YES, couldn't have said it better myself!
what a freaking genius

Thanks for watching. Ya $39 is a great price.
Which prince song is he remixing?
Some ppl consider following rules or steps deny creativity. I personally feel more "secure" with some guidelines. So I'll test this! Thanks
Amazing flow in the editing. Love these. Subbed and all!
Thanks! Enjoy ;)
Please drop this edit its crazy !!!
He went crazy on the drums
Effortlessly brilliant
thanks !!! for all . thanks.
What a way to learn thanks for sharing. Am taking a break of boom bap and trap beats to diversify my beats
Prince - The Line !!! gotcha
Banger! Extremely educational... Wow, you sure can make those plugins sing. Thank you for posting.
Thanks!
Thanks fort this. Very inspiring. What a great result he got.
this mas is going fast!
Disclosure is a god thank you !
This could be a “Daft Punk-ish” track or even Future Funk ❤️
Such a useful tutorial. Wow
Thanks Luke. You owe me a remix 😉
My lord that groovy asffffff
Wow, gorgeous
Hey! This is great! I've noticed in the min 5:05 the notes you are playing shape themselves into quavers/crotchets as if you had preset that. How did u do that?
The sound of the original isn't just like that because it's a YT-rip, but because it's bootleg. This song has never been released officialy.
Good point! It's a rip of a rip 😂
Well this sounds amazing.
This slaps hard
Great production thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! Hope your learned something good
This guy is insane ❤️😎
Lol I have a few of these vst’s and trying to use all of these at once would just shit my laptop. 😂
Also a great way to save money 😉

Thanks for these great video's!
Thanks for the support Jord!
this is gold
Thanks! Happy remixing ;)
JESUS CHRIST THIS IS DOPE
Thanks mate!
I Need this!!!
This is so useful , thank you
Jeeeez this remix is hot
It IS! I hope they release it!
Solid editing job man
Thanks Julien! Took ages but worth it
@@SolStateMusic Yes it MUST ! seriously i tried to watch a stream it's soooo much boring, full respect rly
Can someone explain what he was doing with the Moog multifilter? Was that layering?
I cut a lot of filtering out of the edit. The goal is to use the filter add movement and variation. I believe he layer the Moog filter on top of the sample creating a pulsing-filter effect. Guy then automated the filter intensity in the breakdown.
the only thing i wonder about is how guy still manages to run a ableton rewire instance in logic since the rewire technology is considered unsupported
Well this is pretty great! :)
I remember seeing a remix of Kool & the Gang Open Sesame and can't find it. Could someone please help me find it?
sounds amazing ,like to learn more from you about eqing, balancing, very very nice Job.Subscribed:)
Wow thanks man! You are the man and a wonderful person for sharing your skills and providing us with the latest missing parts and self esteem in the pro production mystery yourney. Absolutely priceless! :-)
Totally appreciate this edit of the full tutorial.. Got all the great/ useful bits in. Thanks Sol State, super editing as usual mate..👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks again Richard, appreciate your support! Now go make a bangin edit!
@@SolStateMusic haha, I will do m8 😅😀.. I recently followed your ig so I'll tag ya there if I'm brave enough to publicly post anything I produce/ remix/ bootleg!!
Has this track been released yet, please I need it 🥺
welp.. that did it for me, my neck hurts now.. -- the funk of it--amazing use of the plugins sir,,
Nice one! Thank youu
Thanks for watching!
How did he get the ableton audio to logic ??
Another excellent edit! Keep it up 🙌
Thank you! Will do
Damn he’s actually a good beatboxer too i couldn’t replicate what he did at 0:44
How did you load Ableton into logic ?
Look up "Ableton Logic rewire"
What is that aluminum flat keys keyboard 🎹 on the desk?
Looks like CME-25 (KiNK uses this live too). amzn.to/2HovjEz (affil)
Thank you ☺️
Had an idea for a prince flip and came across this video 😂 meant to be lol
Legendary stream
Thanks mate!
Great video!!!!
Thanks for that!
Is this available somewhere?
Try Disclosure's Twitch!
Some dude in the comment section said "He makes logic look easy" Idk what dafuq he is gonna say when he uses Ableton or Pro tools
Legend
Great video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻. I’ll be watching this a few times. There’s a few nuggets in here.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
did this song ever get released?
Wait he's running AL inside Logic Pro?
Can someone explain that Fabfilter EQ curve on the master?? at around 16:16
Pretty sure that's on the hats. I think he wanted more highs during mastering BUT did that on individual hats channel
@@SolStateMusic Thank you, only started producing a year ago. Your channel is a goldmine
ok, he just did in 15 mins what it would take me a week to do.
The original video was a few hours, but yeah that's what practice can do
anyone know the name of the j dilla kits he's using?
Thanks for this 🔥🔥🔥
What program/editor are you using?
Disclosure is using Logic by Apple
No headroom?
How does he run the audio from one saw into another and why does he do it?
assume you meant daw, but alot of daws have a feature called “rewire” and he does it because he likes the time warp in ableton lol, why he doesn’t bounce it and resample into logic idk he just wants to do it like that ig, saves time
So good
I wanna listen to this ! Where it can find it. ??
Don't think Disclosure ever released it, maybe in their sets one day?
Bro that sik 🎉
How does he wire his abelton to logic ?
Whats the jack kit he uses in Battery?
I think its one of the default battery kits with 707,808, 909 style sounds. BUT, Guy imports third party samples into battery often (like the Dilla Snares, which should be on Splice)
What’s his twitch?
May just be a question of taste - and I'm no pro - but the bottom end of this remix sounds like mush to me. I mean, no separation of sounds and way too much rumble. Or is that the style of this track?
