Wow - and I'm in pieces once again - how wonderful that music and lyrics can do this. I'm a 60 year old man and I thank heavens that there are musicians and artists out there who are angels in disguise. When the solo kicks in - there are no words only tears - but tears of joy!

Those lyrics have such meaning to me. Music was always an important element in our relationship. If we heard something current that we liked we'd get a concert dvd or cd. I had put the dvd with this song in our dvr as my husband was dying at home because of a cancerous brain tumor. Ever time I hear this song I remember everthing. I really do love the song.

I have known this song when i was only a young child but i never knew the name or tought about it. Then back in Summer 2015 i found it again. Almost everyday in that Summer rode my bike to the next town where the girl lived that i loved more than everything, hoping to meet her there. Listening to the song all the Time. I have never told her my true feelings until i came up with it and got rejectet. Seeing her and working together was the best thing i could imagine back then.
I fell in a big depression and tought i would never get happy ever again in my Life and had to join a psychiatry clinic for 10 Weeks. I still can't believe how much i missed her even when we were not a couple or anything.
I think back then i already knew that beeing with her someday was only a dream and that at some point we really had to go.
I opened Snow Patrol for me with this song! So many years! Still ove it!

The song is more than fine but with all due respect - this is not "modern rock". Even Kings of Leon is more "rock" than Snow Patrol. Alter Bridge is nowadays kinda rock. Snow Patrol is cool and all but as long as i remember - this was called "brit pop" during the 90's...So - cool. Good. But rock? Nope.

Me l love Pink Floyd , Led Zeppelin , Deep Purple and so on ...but l cannot avoid the new good music coming from UK or around the World . We do feel it and we do understand it, fair enough :) Just saiyng - just calling it "rock" doesn't make it rock. Rock is not just feeling, dressing and guitars. I remember Ricky Martin playing on a guitar looking sad and giving this ols sad rocking voice...but it doesn't make it "rock", right? The song is good, the band is cool and i appreciate it. But let's not name it rock music. It doesn't make it bad or unsignificant - it is just a different style, Keep it real. Feel the rock. Make it burn ;)

Really!!?? Glennis Grace?? Snow Patrol's version is SO MUCH BETTER than Glessis's. While Glennis might have a beautiful voice and renders this song like you are going to the stage and accepting your diploma in a graduation, the song's lyric is actually sad and gloomy. Something that the Snow Patrol have captured very well in their version. You can almost cry listening to it.
