Looking very nice, did you ever run a plenum space prior to kenetix? I've run a spacer for about 3 years, I'm happy with it and just not sure it would be worth the investment
Pat Trottier yes I did and was happy with it. Made good peak power, but dropped off pretty hard after peak. I always had plans for cams and boost eventually, so I went for the kinetix. It flattened things out nicely.
Jus do a intake spacer! Less then $100 bucks, an adds power an TQ!! On my 03z enthusiast M6, all it has C.A.I an intake spacer an muffler delete, I made 280HP an 270TQ! Varooom varooom VQ35DE power 🚗💨💨💨 💪😎
Hey man, super nice build you have. I have the same kind of build (except built internals for safety) and jwt c8 cams. Did you dyno a before and after admin WITH Cams? I have custom 3 inchs just to see if 3.5 could make some gains.. Superbe z you have. Cheers from France 😉
Tomei 272/10.5. I doubt I would go back to stock plenum. It’s just too limited on the top end and creates more of a peak vs power under the curve; especially matched with cams
Interesting. If I'm not mistaken revup stock cams have similar lift (10.55 I believe) with alot less duration. So your cams are just holding the valves open alot longer. I'm considering a kinetix but can seem to find a good N/A dyno comparison vs stock. In any case nice car. I enjoy seeing 1 off builds like this
@@jaypro2989 yea its because most people with these plenums have giving it bad reviews for a lot of reasons. I personally wouldn't get it. For the money it's not worth it and guys pushing over 700whp have the stock plenum on so I wouldn't even worry about it
What’s your opinion on going boost with a stock plenum + plenum spacer (z1 angled) right now I’m NA but the parts I’m collecting is to prep for boost. Also why did you decide to go with the kinetix mani ?
@@DEATHWISHVQ on an NA setup you may lose peak hp numbers, but the curve will improve overall. With cams it will perform better, and with boost is also better

It will completely depend on long term. The velocity loses a bit of mid range for a smoother top end. It also helps with boosted and cammed applications

Great video and explanation. Love the clean engine bay. Working on mine at the moment (clutch)
Awesome vid, thanks for being honest about the kinetic manifold, most people don’t want to admit that they lost power with it.
Definitely easy to get hung up on a peak number vs the shape of a curve and long term goals 👌
304whp is plenty for a de model! I want to figure out how I can make my turbo de rev higher and also make power all the way to redline…good info tho
Very clean set up 👍
Love the videos bro keep them coming
Alfonso Delgado will do!
Thanks this gives me an idea of what to do to my DE 350z

Plenty of folks have done it that way. The velocity manifold typically makes power over an OEM plenum with boost

This was the Z1 high flow filter on a blox velocity stack to fit the admin 3.5” intake
Are you running oem/stock injectors?
This setup was on OEM R35 injectors
I just bought admin CAI's for my HR. did the velocity stack + Z! filter make a noticeable difference?
