Thanks for watching! I took the regulator and put it in a vice and used a heat gun very gently on the fitting and broke it loose, not sure why they used that weird glue, but! Once it's off it's just a standard NPT thread.
Damn so you had to take the whole regulator off, clamp it and remove the fitting? I just got the machine not too long ago need this done asap wondering if I can use a hair dryer and adjustable wrench to knock it off.
@@cisforcarsthanks that worked out great, did you ever figure out how to use OPT function in this machine? I believe it helps find optimum tire and rim position for better balance before you start to add weights.
Maximum pressure input is 90kPa, or 0.9 Bar, 13psi. A compressor bigger than mine is recommended for more consistent operation. In fact I've got a bigger compressor lined up.
thanks for the reply. I just balance a few wheels a year. Every now and then I get a OPT on the screen and I don't know what to do. Do you think it wants me to optimise the wheel? Have you ever seen that code?
Ah, yes. I believe that's what it says when the balance required is more than so many ounces (Although I'd have to consult the manual again to be sure.) When it says this on the screen, I ensure that the wheel is tight to the balancer, or even loosen and reposition the wheel on the balancer and do another spin, and often enough the OPT goes away. Maybe try that next time!
@@cisforcars hello and thanx for the reply. So many odd questions. My manual is awful. So many spelling errors and hard to understand. You have a better manual than me. My manual doesn't mention anything about that OPT at all. Also on my manual there is only two sentances about balancing using ALU. And so I am having issues with that also. Have you balanced with ALU? Do you understand the procedure? Can you copy your manual and email it to me?
Haha, I wouldn't say I have a better manual, I'm sure it's the same. I've just spent hours studying it, and playing on thr machine. Let me try playing more and I'll get back to you on the ALU!
I am searching for my own tire changer/balancer for the farm. I am fed up with tire shops that can't balance tires so they don't shake on the highway above 110 km/hr. I can usually static balance them better than the local shops. At 100 bucks for a bad balance that they won't recheck or recalibrate their equipment this looks like a good deal. I am wondering on the balancing side of things how your wheels are performing on the highway. tks
@mistergreen2 I agree to all of your comment, this was to save money, and to have it done right. Everything I've balanced with this has done very well, smooth as anything, all profiles of tires at all speeds. Most Recently I balanced a set of slicks that are smooth as butter to at least 160km/h. Like I mentioned, the manual is painfully written, but once you get the machine down, it works perfectly. Should I ever balance something that doesn't seem right, the self calibration process of the machine is extremely easy. I have no problem recommending either machine. 👍🏼
hello, Thanks for this info. Great video. Just wondering if you have ever peformed an optimizing wheel balance with the Viper 350? If you know how to do it would you make another video to explain how to do it or could you PM me to explain the procedure?
When you refer to an optimizing wheel balance, do you mean the procedure of finding the best place on the rim for the tire? If the heaviest part of a tire aligns with the heaviest part of the rim (or lightest), obviously that's not the optimal spot for the tire as it kind of doubles down on the imbalance. I guess I'd say I have NOT done it, but if I WERE to do it, I think I'd balance the tire on the rim as normal. If it requires a lot of weight in one spot, maybe I'd take the time to remove the tire from the rim, rotate the tire on the rim, and balance it again. If the weight required on the wheel is much less, I guess I've done a decent job of "optimizing" the combo.
They've been an incredibly handy addition to the shop! I use the tire machine more than the balancer, but both are still working well. Happy to have the balancer, everything rides smooth as can be! Thanks for watching!
My favourite part of the winter vids is Jesse’s fantastic winter coat. I love that thing.
It keeps me warm and cozy, whilst also being insanely modern and fashionable!
best instructional video on blue viper balancer I saw. For sure the manual is a bit difficult to understand. Thanks for doing the review
Glad it was helpful!
Great video!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks very informative video, how did you go about changing the air intake fitting to western male fitting? Thanks in advance!

You most likely can! But taking the regulator off wasn't too bad! I bet your method would work as well!! Good luck, you'll get it!

I haven't.. If my balance is out to lunch I'll knock the tire loose and rotate it 180⁰, and almost always balances perfect after doing so.

Shoulda got the bead blaster hey?
Except it was like $500-$1000 more, lol, for that we'll make one
Great vedio may I know size of the maximum compressor?

THanks for the review just looking at these. have you tried with stick on weights on a mag wheel?
You bet. There's one extra step, but otherwise it worked well.

Yes!

How have they been holding up?

Would you recommend someone purchasing? I don’t see hardly any reviews
It works well for the price!
How can I do alloys
For mounting and dismounting tires you mean?
What was cost of this combo?
$2500
