Love these books! Dover Publishing has a coloring newsletter that comes out every so often. It always has links to some of their coloring books with several free pages for downloads. I have gotten a few of Teresa Goodridge's coloring pages that way!
Your colouring was WOW just WOW Claire. The books are lovely. Sending you virtual 🤗 going through this tough period. Hope it doesn’t last too long. You’re too lovely to have to go through these difficult times.💖🌹
I have all but two of these books. I don't have the one with all the sayings or the romantic one. I have many of my pictures colored. I color every day. I am 89 years old. I enjoyed your video. Did you notice the page with the sewing machine, it is backwards? Grandma Sue in central Indiana
I love flip throughs! I LOVE seeing how you color the pages, I love your color choices and I just love how you color! Your completed pages are always amazing!!
Adirondack Chairs. 😝😁 Named for the region of Adirondack, NY, USA. But you can name yours Adrian if you wish. 🤭🤭 Thanks for the flip through. I saw a few I am missing! Your coloring is stunning as always. Oh, I am currently using Polychromos and they work wonderfully in Home for the Holidays!
Thin, but slightly better than standard Amazon paper (they are published by Dover). Handles water better than you would expect. Mid amount of tooth. Bright white.
great video, I like the illustrations, but the paper is too thin, I just can't bring myself to color on thin paper. I find paying a bit more for books that have quality paper, and a harder cover is well worth it and the feeling a person gets turning the pages is fulfilling and it is pleasurable while coloring, which makes the time it takes to color feel it too was well spent. when I complete books, I give then away as gifts; therefore, the paper and cover must be great quality to make the book feel important enough to colored in and to be given away as a gift.
I have a love/hate relationship with Goodridge. She is one of Dover's most prolific modern artists.. and I love the concepts and subjects of her books... the paper is reasonable quality and I especially love that they are single sided so I can use my favorite mediums. Unfortunately her drawing skills are so lacking I just can't enjoy her books. I have no problem with artistic license, scribble technique, etc.. but extremely poor perspective and flat out crooked elements are continuous. Often times certain features are entirely the wrong size for their placement in a scene, outrageously so. Also she puts people and animals in many of her scenes, and often they are very poorly drawn. Examples of this from the first book.. in the kite scene the man's legs are not remotely anatomically correct (and put right smack in the middle of the picture so they are on full display), and the following scene with the greenhouse the angles throughout the scene are not only not accurate to the horizon or any conceivable perspective point, but all over the place even on the same building. It hurts my eyes to look at. Some images are better than others, and I tend to wait to see what Dover will release in their weekly newsletter and pick from those.

Really enjoyed this review. How is the paper quality?
