Something that I think would be cool concept would be to keep the drums in centre and move the other instruments around the drummer to simulate the guitarists and bassists walking around the drummer while playing.

Fucking love these types of Ds (no homo) You can hear each instrument without having to look up “guitar only”, and you get to hear the whole band. Also ride is their best album.
I think this sort of processing would be ideal for live recordings because it sort of mimics movement around a stage. I nominate Iced Earth's "A Question of Heaven" off their Alive in Athens live recording. Another good one would be Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" from Live After Death
Just wish someone would use this technology to just do arrangements where the instruments don’t have to move but they are just arranged properly in space.
