He is not controversial, he is right. I am 55 days sober and on step 9, after hanging around the fellowship for 6 years while not doing the program. Chris saved my life.
I Thank God that my friend who 12th stepped me bought me a Big Book, then turned me onto Raymer. I'm 65 days off booze today and my obsession is gone. I've been placed into a position of neutrality. I'm happy for you. And it sucks no one lit that fire under you till then...better late than never. Godspeed
Heard this as a dry sober middle of the road newbie. This message and Chris’ clear cut approach saved my life! There is a clear cut Solution as stated in the book Alcoholics Anonymous pages 1-164
One of the most important pieces of spiritual literature ever wrote and published. I've read thousands of books. The BB IS MY FAVORITE, BY FAR because it helped to save my life. God bless
I can't stand the whining and pulling some people dish out. Not me, only hope and positive talk of God, the BB, the 12 steps and Walking the steps daily. Watch my feet not my lips!¡!
I am the ONLY woman in the group I attend in Dodge City, KS. We inly have 2 AA groups here. The other group is a therapy group. No thank you. It rough sometimes. I'm 9 yrs sober and the obsession has lifted along time ago.
After about 30 years going to meetings, I've heard very few announce that they're a "Recovered Alcoholic ". I myself have said that and found that I was separating & isolating myself from the rest of the fellowship. I don't say that anymore. What difference does it make in the long run.
I agree in a lot of situations it's better to read the room and not be so unique. On the other hand, sometimes we can be the beacon a new person needs to hear the AA message. Like Mark H. would say, I smell more. Thank God there is more.
I’d be interested in what exactly was said that bothered you. If it’s a time in the talk even better. Sometimes I find things that upset me are just truths I don’t want to hear, but I can’t judge that unless you are more specific on what part of the talk you are referring to.
@@maddogrecoveryaaspeakers9057 love your answer straight to the point . We came to the rooms as out last hope and if we are lucky and Blv enought we just might start to get a little conscious contact or will start to get some sort of awareness if we’re willling to have an open mind . But we’re not told in the book it promises us psychic powers lol hope I don’t offend anyone just been real Cauz I’m alive because of what gives me life got me here 🙏❤️👍💪

Chris is right on the money. Truth!!!
I love the Raymer twins. They speak of HOPE & POWER. They present us with solution, not my day, my way!!!
Every thing he says about open topic discussion meetings is true.

I love the message chris carries because its the truth
November 13th 1987 was on friday. I was looking through this channel and there are not very many views on them. It is a bit frightening.

Great series
Dude. Scolding an alcoholic/addict is like whipping a sick dog. Learn to carry the message.
I’d be interested in what you found offensive in this talk? One of Chris R’s talks pulled me back in, so message was received for this alcoholic.
At one time he was the most popular circuit speaker in AA. He does know how to carry the message. Learn before speaking nonsense.
This aint nothin but one big guilt trip

How many emails do you get from people in AA?
