Cardinals at the Reds on Opening Day.... wont be the last time these two teams will be in a memorable game against each other in Cinci this 2010 season (drama)
This would turn out to be a historic season in Texas Rangers' franchise history. Winning a playoff series for the first time and then winning their very pennant in franchise history!
The 1st full slate of Major League Baseball games for 2010, Monday, April 5th. 🙂 Among the 'Faces in new places'...Roy Halladay making his Phillies debut after spending the 1st decade of his career w/ the Blue Jays, Hideki Matsui, fresh off a World Series MVP-clinching Game 6 performance w/ the Yankees, now suiting up for the Angels, & Vladimir Guerrero, who suited up for the Angels for the previous 6 seasons, now joining their AL West rivals in Texas. Jason Heyward makes his much-ballyhooed Major League debut & homers in his 1st Major League at-bat for the Braves. 'Welcome To The Show!' 🙂 The Jays open the post-Roy Halladay era in Arlington, where Shaun Marcum no-hits the Texas Rangers into the 7th before the floodgates open & the Rangers finally win it in walkoff fashion in the 10th. Tim Lincecum & the San Francisco Giants def. the Astros in Houston on Opening Day, setting an early tone for what would be a special season in the Bay Area. And finally, last but certainly not least, Mark Buehrle staking his claim for an early candidate for 'Play Of The Year'...8:05. 👀
The beginning of the Jose Bautista era in Toronto (well, not really the beginning, since he has been in Canada since 2008, but you know). Unreal he was hitting leadoff or second at the start of this season before the power arrived
Hideki Matsui is still in his WS MVP mode this Opening Day, with his new Angels team
8:06 One of the greatest defensive plays by a pitcher ever

Saltalamacchia
Big name with a big walkoff
Ah, it's the seemingly annual tradition of the A's facing the Felix Hernandez on Opening Day
*_And thus begins an unlikely magical drought-breaking season for my San Francisco Giants_*
I love this! I can’t wait till you go to the 2010 playoffs!

9:56 Bay Mets era has started
Chip Caray said it well when Jason Heyward did well in his first ML at-bat against Carlos Zambrano. "WELCOME TO THE SHOW!!"
Watching classic Oakland A's highlights must hit different nowadays I guess. 😕
And that was after the Cubs went up 3-0 in the 1st!
Wow, I'm surprised there were no top plays from the Duke/Butler game that night.
I remember that one too, literally went right down to the buzzer in that one.

And thus the 2010 MLB season is officially underway.
Who will lift the Commissioner's Trophy this go around?
We could be in for a *Giant* surprise in 2010 perhaps. 😉
The play by Buehrle was amazing!
Roy Halladay a winner in his Phillies Debut while his Former Team known as the Blue Jays get walked off in their Season Opener against the Rangers.

1:13 for the milllionth time, it's "Plácido" not "Placído". The SC anchors always mispronounce his name for some reason, it's not that hard.
