    Hahaha that bloody cross I can't believe you walked up and down I remember we got a taxi up and even the drive took forever then the walk down was terrible in the rain and we were just following google maps 'trails' blindly hoping to see the road again ahaha.
    What an adventure David mate cheers for being the person who put Uzice firmly on my map 🇷🇸

      Haha the 'trails' LOL. In Skopje I came down a similar climb in torrential rain but thankfully a helpful guardian angel dog guided the way! I fell over about 25 times. Travel life right better than a goddamn resort (what's that lol)

    I hope that you had a good time, and I wish you all the best in the UK and Poland. (Although the situation in UK seems a bit chaotic now lol)

    Fantastic video.
    Your best and wisest video.
    There are millions other things, in the city and especially in the surrounding area, that should be visited.
    It's a pity that you didn't visit Staparska Banja Spa.
    From Uzice to the Spa is a 6 km pedestrian paradise.

    It's not that I want to ruin your trip to Poland... I don't think it's the right time... it's cold, there are a lot of refugees, the apartment rental prices are not very cheap. Maybe you'd be better off wintering in Mexico until this madness in Ukraine is over. All the best David, whatever you decide.

    Some very few leaves win the lottery of appreciation. You gravitate toward places with red roofs. No wonder you were out of breath! I didn't expect the fortress and city to be so far down. Such a beautiful autumn day in Uzice! It seems like a cross between St. Moritz and Juarez. Except maybe the buses. If you could listen to your voice, not literally, you'd easily hear the life and reason within you that this lovely city has. Never be despondent about yourself - or anything really. You've accomplished so much and don't regale people sitting next to you at the cafe about it. Thanks again for making a walk - or trek - interesting and funny. That hotel is growing on me. I hope the Scientologists don't buy it. In the U.S. there's a chain of shoebox motels called Red Roof Inn. Sometimes it's just a matter of red trim on the box. Not quite like an Oxxo trying to dress up for the neighborhood. I've become so mellow that it's all fine with me. Though there is a difference between being high on life and being stupid. You'll never be the latter. Keep up with the high! Keep seeing angels and loving dough!

    Very nice series you got there, mate. Most people visit Belgrade, Novi Sad but still small cities has their on charm and off course nature. Consider making best of places, maybe mix of churches/monasteries with brutalist social architecture and some nice buidling off course, put some music on it and send it to bbc 🙂enjoy Serbia and future trips

    • @davidostrowski679
      @davidostrowski679  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely, you just summed up the whole point of this series (as well as my Mexico series). In fact, videos from cities like Belgrade don't get views (if you want TH-cam to be your main income) because it's been so overdone. The algorithm prefers places people search for that there isn't competition for in terms of search results

    i went with my father by car to Montenegro to visit grandma. Then i went with my mom by bus when we returned(dad wanted to stay more to help grandma) and if u think going through Serbia by bus is bad. You don't know how horrible it is from Montenegro to Serbia or vice versa... So many damn corners, there are literally famous ones where it's goddamn dangerous cuz roads are so sharp when they have a curve, that the bus literally takes both lanes to swirl around and u see all the way down to the bottom of the canyon Nevidio, it can be scary sometimes

    Hi David! Good video. I started following you on Instagram some time ago and I've noticed lately that often when something negative happens in your day you flash back to Mexico adding something that could be interpreted as "at least I'm not in Mexico". Is that really necessary? Did we treat you that bad last time? I know you have no plans to return, but do you need to say it so often and so bitterly?... I know it is your account and you can say whatever you like, I'm just puzzled about the 2020-2022 change in attitude ... Have a nice winter David wherever you finally settle.

    • @davidostrowski679
      @davidostrowski679  ปีที่แล้ว

      Why don't Mexicans understand humour! 'At least I'm not in Mexico' is a term of endearment! Yes life in European countries is much easier but I joke about cockroaches and cold water with fondness, not bitterness.
      When Brits say something, they mean the opposite.

    Oh god yes, the buses suck ass, I hate the whole experience every time I use city to city buses (plus, they are relatively expensive). I would never ever use a bus for tourist visits, either a train or rent-a-car, even for personal travel for people in Serbia, only if you have no other option, I can't imagine how it would be to come from abroad and use a bus to visit places, it's just a cabal of small transport companies that constantly change ownership, timetables and routes

    • @davidostrowski679
      @davidostrowski679  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh yes! The timetables! ARGH. It's refreshing as always to hear a Serb say these things. In other countries I've filmed in, people take it as an insult to their national pride! The issue I have with UK buses isn't timetables of comfortability, it's the fact they can take SO unnecessarily long. To get to my mum's house can take 6 hours with one change. When I've driven in the past I've done it in 3hrs (well, speeding lol)
