I am resident of Peshawar but I didn't know about its golden history. Your video is so informative thanks for uploading such content.

Peshawar is very close to our family, our forefathers use to serve in Garwal Rifle. On 23rd August 1930, under leadership of Abdul Gaffar Khan a peaceful rally of Pathans was organized in Kissakhani Bazar.
British officers ordered Garwal Rifle to start firing, but they refused they didn't wanted a massacre like Jaliyawala bagh.
It was first time in history when some regiment refused to take their order.
Whole regiment was sent to kalapani jail, were many Garwal Rifle soldiers died because of hunger.
These brave soldiers were not from Peshawar and they were also not Muslim or Sikh. But they knew humanity, that's why they sacrificed their job and life.

Sadly, I've not had enough time or reliable sources to explore this area of history, but thanks to you I learned something new today. A great history video and very informative. Shafaat Sahab, it was a terrific video and honestly loved it. If you can, then please do more videos like this. I am a history enthusiast about the Indian subcontinent and knew that Peshawar is probably one of the most ancient and important cities of the Indian subcontinent. The fact is that due to Peshawar's proximity to Indus, it's very likely that the first settlements in the Indian subcontinent were somewhere near Peshawar. And that Soma or Somras is absolutely fantastic bit. I urge you to do more videos related to this. Needless to say, I have subscribed and liked it.
