This song seemed the perfect ending to a trio of songs about trust in God. When I hear the lyrics to Under His Wings, I always think about what Jesus said during his triumphal entry into Jerusalem just days before He was crucified. "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem. You kill the prophets whom God gives you; you stone those God sends you. I have longed to gather your children the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you refuse to be gathered." Matthew 23:37 (The VOICE). Those are some of the saddest words in Scripture. However, God gives each of us freedom of choice; and He respects our choices. I pray that we will choose God!

I agree with you from the description box that the words that Jesus said from Matt about some people refuse to be gathered when he longs to gather us under his wings, are so sad but you are right, he gives us freedom of choice.
