I always think Bill’s gonna drop the ball during his playing, like every note is a risk but he always makes it through. Mesmerising.

Really annoying with this "time feel".

I agree, David!... he's on the edge and fearless... incredible.

@@lorenzmuller3542 That's because he's creating the arrangement on the spot. Otherwise known as improvisation. And it is pretty impossible to do so on the guitar in tempo all the time. The only guitarists that play solo guitar in tempo are the ones that have a preexisting arrangement. All great jazz guitarists play very creatively and with that "annoying time feel" that you mention.

David TexMex Yes, I'm new to listening to him, but I had the same feeling. He has a lovely tone, but his rhythm is not up to the same standard.

Bill has taught me so much about phrasing, time, gentle approach and expression. Absolutely fantastic.

I got the same vibe from seeing John Fahey years ago. Playing stuff that should NEVER be attempted on a guitar. A feeling of being in the edge.

I was maybe 10 years old when I saw the movie. I knew good music from my parents, so I knew the first time I heard this that it was one for the ages.
