Jose Feliciano and the group I Ricchi e Poveri placed at no. 2 at the San Remo Music Festival of 1971. One year before I left Italy! As much as I loved Feliciano, I Ricchi e Poveri and this song, it was causing painful emotions in 71 because I knew my dad had made up his mind to move the family to Canada! It is nevertheless one of my favourite songs ever written/ever sang!
