We at Image Tattoo can't thank you and everyone here helping enough. Dane spoke so fondly of you and as much as none of this should have happened it's always the nicest thing to hear all the fondness back towards him. We all miss him so much and there's so much love revolved around that wonderful man. Thankyou again, no words will ever be enough 🖤
Bro!! My pleasure. You beat me to it, it but it’s too good an opportunity to pass up doing this model. Especially cos I’m a tattoo artist by trade too. Let’s catch up some time bro and make a video?
Great video man! I wouldn't have thought in a million years about using a laser for adding to prints! Also, sorry for your loss...I know that pain all too well and it sucks big time. Its a really nice thing your doing for the family, much respect!
I was happily watching your videos to learn how to improve my painting, and this one came along and really kicked me in the balls. Sorry for your loss, stay strong, grief is a long process that never really goes away; it just gets easier to live with.
Stay Strong Man, I lost a friend this year to suicide, he lost his fight and we all feel his loss and the void he left behind. it is never easy, however what you are doing there is commendable, it truly is. hat's off to you.
Very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I think it is commendable that you are using your talent and abilities to help the family! It has become very apparent to me from watching your content for the past year that you are a kind soul.
So sorry to hear about your friend dude and respect for what you're doing to help. Got what tickets I could to help you reach your goal. Keep up the awesome work
Sorry for loss but you did a really nice thing for your friend and his family. Really liked the model and laser. I have been wanting a laser for a while, so maybe someday.
Sounds like he was a good guy. Sorry for the loss to you and his family. I'll happily donate to the cause. I'm also a subscriber of Tinylittle3D and have seen that tattoo video. I was really impressed with how he used it. You had a great idea for it as well. I'm wondering if I can get my glowforge to do something like that as well. I'll have to tinker with it sometime. Thanks for the video.
I do wonder. Setting the height is so important. I moved the laser up and down for multi passes. But you can’t move the object or alignment and this laser just has a motor to lift it kind of accurately up and down.
Losing a friend is really hard. I lost a few during Iraq and I still to this day remember them clearly. It does get easier with time I promise. I admire you wanting to do this for him. Good on you sir. And thank you for the video. The laser tats are super cool with the Thelma model. Great work.
Losing a friend is so hard and I think most of us have been though this in some point in our life Dad but it's never easy. You have many friends all over the world due to your mad painting style. I'm sure your friends family will soon have that bench and more importantly a place to remember. On a lighter note Dad have you seen the new ZEZ Spiderman I think it's a must for you to paint !!
From Mexico my most sincere condolences, and I must say that you are a great artist and I am about to close a business that fed me for 7 years, and I plan to dedicate myself to painting miniatures for wargaming and scale models, and you have been a great inspiration and example to take this step, all the best brother and thank you for your art.
There where a lot to be got in this video. Brilliand work and I hope that he gets that bench! One question. Is the song playing in the background somewhere standalone? I wanna add it to a playlist!
What a great way to celebrate the life of your friend and honor their memory. My stepfather was 96 years old and passed away this year. He donated his body to science so that no one would have to pay for a grave, and no one would talk about spreading his ashes across the bar that he used to hang out at when he was still drinking. It is hard for us that remain to not have some place to go to feel close to him again. But I’ve got to have them for 35 years so I’m grateful for that. Solid video is always proud Patreon member. I bought some raffle tickets. and I’m waiting for my password reset on the damn GoFundMe. Be well be you.
Wow he lived a long life though so that’s a good thing. It is tough some people have it harder than others too. We all grieve in our own ways. I really want to make sure we get that family a place to go and remember him just feels like the right thing to do.
Condolences on your loss. I try to think that those we lose are in a better place. We will see them again. I am curious if you did any testing to get the correct settings on the laser? I have that same model and I never thought about even TRYING to laser those on! I was thinking waterslide decal, but that looks awesome!
To be honest a couple of days and like 3 or 4 models to test and you’ll get it right. It’s all in the layers of paint too thin and you cut through too fast.
Just wanted to let you know you inspired me to print bigger. I love your videos and I’m currently working on the same Deadpool model where’s he’s kicking off the rocket. Wonder what light and battery system you used
I'm sorry you lost your friend sir. Great work as always. Cool addition with the laser. Also your song about printing and painting figures where did you get that?
Can I ask How do studios that make figure statues or PVC figures that has intricate details on them like tattoos/tiny patterns do it without lasers or hand painting them all?
you can do the same with sharp markers and a transfer paper.. and not buy any machine to do that (print on transfer paper, transfer to your doll and go over with sharp pens, like gandam pen)
I mean you can. But that’s like telling someone with a Ferrari that he could do the same thing he’s doing but in a smart car. If you have a Ferrari use it if not then smart car it is. Lol
Sad to hear uncle Dan (as you are our dad and he seems like a brother to you, Therefore he was our uncle) passed away. Have a deck tan party in his memory, but with your friends and mates to cheer you each other up!
Sorry for the loss of your friend man, I never win anything but I raffled (Raffalled?) anyways cause the feels. I hope the bench is epic! If your feels can handle it, do a follow-up.
We will defo have a follow up. I think sometime in November because the place that the bench is going is a national park area so they wait for the animals to settle for winter before disturbing the park with builders and works getting done.
Wish I knew this before I've made a whole collection of high-res water decal of Die Antwoord Ninja's tattoos into my figures... Nvm I knew, but it's hell expensive on this level.
Sorry I know this is a bit off topic but I've been wondering: how big is the Supergirl print you painted a year ago? The one that is shown to have white clothes. Also, what sizes do you get your 3D prints in?
Yes. You definitely can. It would take some messing with but the first model had some cool black and grey effects. You could put grey as a layer and laser the lines to the black primer and then the shades to the grey layer etc. and come back after with some whit highlights with a brush.
Sorry to hear about your friend. I was actually thinking about doing this on 40k models which, if you aren’t familiar are 28-30mm scale. What kind of detail can you get at that scale?
He’s definitely familiar. He has a poster in the background at 0:16 . If I’m not mistaken it is of some death company marines for blood angels but I’m not 100% sure
Not only am I familiar with but I have made antigravity tanks hover and land raiders shoot real fire hahaha and it does work. Just needs some finesse but it defo does work on them I lasered the underside of my remote control spacemarine atv
Soooo…. My next door neighbour wants me to do a laser tattoo on his arm have you messed with it yet be interested in tour settings apparently leaves a scar type tattoo happy to do it for him just don’t want to cut chunks out of him
Soooo obviously I don’t condone any shenanigans but I can say we have also thought about this. None of us are prepared to put our arm in it though the ir laser doesn’t do anything cos I put my hand through it by mistake once. It’s only like 2w I think.
I’d say you gonna need to play because the setting I used before didn’t work when I tried later because the layers of paint make a huge difference to the effect of the laser.

I don’t at the moment. I don’t really sell my models much. I have a massive collection and I probably should start thinning them down.
Do you think you can fine tune it enough so that you paint a black base coat and then do your normal flesh tones so the tattoos are black/grey?
Yes. You definitely can. It would take some messing with but the first model had some cool black and grey effects. You could put grey as a layer and laser the lines to the black primer and then the shades to the grey layer etc. and come back after with some whit highlights with a brush.
Is there something cheaper that can do this?
Yea. Just use water slide decals you can buy blank sheets and print them at home. For like 5-10 bucks
