use the formula y = a (x - x1)(x - x2). you use this only when they give a point and the two x intercepts. in q6 they give u a point D(1;8) but don't give you the values of the x intercepts. if they did give u, you'd substitute like this 8 = a (1 - x1)(1 - x2). x1 and x2 would be where your two different intercepts go. then you solve for a and substitute it back into formula to the equation of the actual graph then you get your b value from there
Basically what I did is that I made an equation for c, solved for b which you do by making x(turnib point) = -b/2a and then substitute b into c equation to get c....fairly easy
I'm practicing for my paper 1 as soon as I look at the question I pause the video then do it when I'm finished I resume it 😅
Good luck
Same😭
I'm in matric revising functions and these practise videos have been helpful...I appreciate you marn♡!
Hi
You are the best thank you so much
Can you come teach at my school 😭😭you make 3 months of learning make sense in an hour
True😭😭
This was nice and easy good explanation aswell🔥
In 5.5 isn't x
I was also thinking the same. I think he made a mistake, it's not the first time.
The answer is (-infinity ; 1)
That's exactly what I was think
So it would be
x E ( - ♾️ ; 1)
ohhh thank you.!❤

On question 6,how do we calculate b if we aren't given a
Im also stuck on that but my teacher said somthing about simultaneous equations

life saver
Refering to question 5.3 , is it correct if i factorized x^2 - 2x - 8 = 0 ( from 2x^2 - 4x - 16 = 0 ) into ( x - 4 )( x + 2 )
I am writing this Friday 😢 and l am still struggling 😢
Sorry ❤
Where did you get those -1
For 5.1 what happened to the - 2x
We this -8 come from
