  • Life coach, Barry from Watford guides us through the week's events on BBC radio 2's Steve Wright In The Afternoon, in his own inimitable style.

What a brilliant DJ. Will be missed so much. The replacement is rubbish. The BBC should be ashamed of the poor quality replacement

So sad to witness the demise of radio 2 it really was the nation’s favourite go to station for many people alas no longer.

God…. There’s not much to laugh at these days but I just listened to Barry from Watford and It brought back some great moments listening to the Steve Wright show on Radio 2. Who was the voice of Barry? I know in the earlier days Steve did his own voices of Mad Sid on Radio 1.

Barry from Watford and Clinton Baptiste are both inventions of Alex Lowe.

I have been binge listening to these all weekend. There is nothing like this on TV or radio anymore and it is testimony to the quality of Steve Wright's show and all his character guests over the eyars. I LOVE Barry from Watford. RIP in Steve. N'Night.

It's characters like Barry that made Steve's show compulsive listening. I loved Steve Wright in the Afternoon. Great conversation, fantastic music and of course Tim Smith and Jaynee Lee Grace and not forgetting Bobbi Pryor..
