Southside Transfer Facility walking tour. 4100 S 1st Street St. Louis Missouri

Come take a close look at the Southside Transfer Facility, where St Louis Residents Garbage and Recycling materials are taken to be transferred from collection trucks to semi tractor trailers, bound for landfill or MRF.
Where is the outfall? My guess, it spills directly into the Mississippi river.
Southside is St Louis’ oldest currently operating transfer facility from what I understand, showing up on Satellite imagery back to 1988
Is this facility open to the public? Yes and no. According to STL recycles it is, but I saw very little posted directions for residential trash or recycle dropoffs.
