the part where he says something like "not everyone is going to be a main dj, some will be session producers, some will be composers for commercials etc" is very very very true, we all start from wanting to be the main thing, but as we grow up we notice that maybe getting a shitton of attention is not what we really want, A tip i would've appreciated is to network, you may have 100 songs, all potential grammy winning productions, but if you don't showcase them around to countless people none is going to discover you, there's simply too much out there and producers, songwriters, A&Rs at high levels barely have time to discover music from unknown artists

Great advice - I kid you not, my Oregon license plates on my car say "B KUHL" and have said this since 2005 (My last name is Lehmkuhl so it's a play on my last name for the spelling....)
Not a fan of the Chainsmokers, in fact disliked them musically/beyond. But, as a fan of your Pcast, gave this a listen and despite still not being a fan of their music I very much appreciate their take on music/candor/attitude as humans. Cheers for that. Also, curious if chain-smoking leads to underbites dentally - or if these two just found each other in the wild and the stars aligned. Sorry. Couldn't help it.
