@@stormandrailfan96 I'm probably going to start re-recording some of my sirens over again with an included ambience because man this spot just sounds way too good.
I have two old Federal Electric Model A's just like these. Unfortunately both chopper's are unusable and one's commutator has melted, but they are still really cool little sirens. Their proportions are much larger when compared to my Sign & Signal model A.
Nice score on that old Type A. I actually have a first generation model in my possession, here’s an older video of it: th-cam.com/video/5TIYByvzxA0/w-d-xo.html Unfortunately the fasteners on the motor cover are seized and stripped, so I have been unable to access the motor as it’s sadly become less free-moving. The Babbitt bearings need some love. Also B-101 is a serial number we haven’t figured out yet. Federal Electric seemed to have switched from numeric numbers to B-101, to B-201 (and a handful of others), then back to numbers several times, so that’s gonna make daring it a challenge.
Red, white, and blue? That's kinda what I think they were doing with this when they "restored" it. I think I'll actually end up painting it solid white with a black base when I get it functional. So you'll still definitely get to stick with your color theme.
Nice siren, cool video! Happy Birthday also.
I appreciate it! Thanks for taking a look at the video!
@@connorcruz6249 Of course. I love the ambience of that siren, it sounds amazing!

Sweet! I'm acquiring one with open ports (supposedly rare?) Good luck on fixing it up!
Edit: Happy Birthday!
Thank you! That will be cool to see, I've never seen one with open ports.
Cool!
