I was dealing with an issue at the time of the video where it was inconsistent with the idle, run conditions, cold/hot, was driving me nuts to be honest and so I considered selling it. Well since the video I found my way to a guy that worked for and took over for the founders of C&L racing. He helped me figure it all out and now it is a very consistent beast of a car that always runs at the desired temp of 180 ish degrees. Turns out the calibration tube was in backwards! Thanks for all the comments, much love to the community of Foxbody fans!
Hey what's happening thanks for sharing your videos I was thinking about purchasing 86 mustang gt hatchback but it's going be difficult to find one in good condition and yess it's have to be a manual transmission 👋👍🙂🤔♥️
Good luck and happy hunting! Clean ones are out there if you know what to look for and are willing to pay a bit more. I keep mine in a climate controlled garage which certainly helps keep it from aging much.
I recently found a 1986 with 13k original. The body is perfect and so is the motor. I put a new fuel pump and tank in it. And fixed a couple of small electrical issues and now the car is in showroom condition. The moral to my story is that they are out there you just got to find it
car aint loud why u idling thru the neighbourhood , drive the car dont worry about it , u sound like a aerospace engineer ,,,its just a mustang ...and yes i have one as well and i won the 5 liter shootout with my car and still drive it thru my neighbourhood...yur car is beautiful enjoy it
jim gee yeah I tend to agree with you to a point. I like loud but sometimes the drone gets to me. I moved out in to the country so no more concern with our neighbors, although guessing some were like you and didn’t mind the beautiful sound of a healthy 302. By the way I do work in engineering however mechanical, thought your comment was funny. My unedited video clearly shows my lack of being able to communicate in sentences lol.

jimihendrix225 thats funny, actually I figured out the issue and now it gets to temp like it should. Right now though it is cold setting in the garage, haven’t started her in a while.
Sweetassugar 72 the reason was I had it listed on Ebay and people were asking for a video. However I decided to keep this one in the family and hand it down to one of my grandkids one day.
Bro the car runs better cool you keep saying its cold itll run better hot , not at all coming from someone who drag races every Friday night with the same car
DÜDE: you should hear MY Mustang GT. Makes yours sound like a Prius! LOL. I bought my 86’ brand new in 1886. Original owner I am. One more thing: The car Hates Trump!!!!
That could be the worst job taking the video ever...when dude takes off, the camera totally is covering the gages, apparently, the one thing the camera was suppose to show and, keep showing.Would been nice to see the road or hood gages like dude said...
Alanna Alexander ha! Yeah def a feature of taste. I think they are from a 2003 GT. Based on the original Craiger wheels, Keystone I think. I like them, I like the throwbacks however I want to switch to a different wheel and tire setup. As wide as wide can be. Are you familiar with the SVE series 3 wheels? I like that look.
Such a cool interior. Everything from the dials, the wheel and the seats. Just so 80s. Love it!
Journey jamming in background....
#MustangTown lol yes I am stuck in the 80’s.
Four Eyed Fox my dad had a 1988 Mustang LX had the 4 cylinder motor he had that car until 2001 because it died
Nice ride Buddy. A friend of mine had a 87 Mustang Gt. That was one fast car He loved running up against the IROCs
Absolutely beautiful mustang
Sweet ride!
I've ran 160 degree thermostat in all my cars / trucks for years and never had a problem
I have one too. Need a 3 core radiator. Big tank and a good fan. Runs about 175 180 when fully warmed up
Best year for the foxbody, IMO.

Not joking, it matches to the delorean (a.k.a: time machine)
Nice Mustang...would you mind telling me how you're running the stock and an aftermarket oil pressure gauge at the same time?...thanks.
Andrew Lopson it’s using a tee adapter. I can do a video and show it.

Shorty Hooker headers, BBK H pipe (cat delete), dual Magnaflo mufflers, stainless pipes. I am thinking about changing the mufflers to Varitune
